Tabble's power level was currently only 30,000, putting him in the third dimension of strength. This gave him three additional binding slots. Including his initial slot, he had four in total.
Just then, another line of text appeared before his eyes:
[Among the new binding targets, you may choose any one skill from each target. Please make your selections as soon as possible.]
[Target: Son Gohan. Available skills:

Destructo Disc
Dark Impact

Looking over their dazzling array of skills, Tabble thought for a moment, then decided to choose two with impressive reputations and power: Special Beam Cannon and Galick Gun.
Special Beam Cannon was Piccolo's signature technique. Not only was it extremely powerful, it also had tremendous piercing force.
As Piccolo's student and "real son," Son Gohan had naturally learned the move as well.
Galick Gun's power was not to be underestimated either. It was on the same level as Kamehameha.
Since these skills were already available, there was no need to go out of his way to learn them.
The moment he confirmed his choices, another line appeared before his eyes:
[Congratulations, host. You have obtained two new skills: Special Beam Cannon and Galick Gun.]
A hint of delight appeared on his face as soon as he read the message.
Then, with a thought, he opened the system panel.

[Current Timeline]: Dragon Ball Super
.
The first five skills were ones his original self had already mastered.
Super Energy Burst was Licks's signature move.
The other six were skills he had figured out and learned himself over the past year of training.
If there weren't a time limit on selecting skills—if he weren't required to choose them on the day he bound a target—he wouldn't have used up his chance to select one of Vegeta's skills now.
After all, Vegeta would eventually master Ultra Ego.
If he could have waited until then to choose a skill, he definitely would have held off.
Unfortunately, there was a time limit.
For now, though, the most important thing was getting stronger.
That was why he had to bind more people and increase his training multiplier.
After all, they were now approaching the Dragon Ball Super era.
With a power level of only 30,000, he could do little more than cheer from the sidelines.
Besides, it was May 8, Age 778. Beerus would be coming to Earth to cause trouble before long.
Even though Tabble knew how the story would unfold, he couldn't put all his hopes of staying alive in someone else's hands, could he?
The safest thing was to have strength of his own.
With a thought, he closed the system panel and turned his gaze back to the battlefield.
He couldn't see Son Gohan and Abocado's movements, but the deafening sounds of their clashes once again rang clearly in his ears.
Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam!
With a resounding crash, a dark figure plummeted from the sky.
Rumble!
The figure struck the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.
At last, Tabble could see Son Gohan hovering in the air, looking down at the yellow-brown cloud below.
Suddenly, Vegeta's deeply displeased voice reached his ears.
"What the hell is Gohan doing?"
"He's been playing around for ages and still hasn't finished off his opponent!"
"Is he thinking of letting the enemy go, just like Kakarot would?"
As soon as Vegeta finished speaking, Piccolo chimed in, sounding like he was exasperated with Gohan. "After all these years, he's forgotten what it means to be a warrior!"
"If he were the way he was during the Cell Games, that enemy would already be dead!"
Vegeta clearly agreed, but all he said was, "Hmph!"
"Those father and son are so softhearted toward their enemies. It's disgusting."
Hearing his good friend and "real son" talked about that way, Piccolo snorted and replied, "Hmph!"
"If they weren't like that, you wouldn't be alive today!"
"Neither would I."
Vegeta scoffed. "Tch!"
Then he turned his head away without another word.
Seeing this, Tabble reined in his smile and turned to Vegeta. "Big brother, could you finish off the enemy for me?"
When it came to finishing off an opponent, Vegeta was the man for the job!
Vegeta looked over with a furrowed brow. A trace of approval showed in his eyes, and he nodded with a smile. "Sure. Anyone who dares hunt down us Saiyans should be ready to die."
"You have to be ruthless with your enemies!"
"Tabble, you're thinking about this the right way."
As he spoke, he turned toward the cloud of dust that still hadn't completely settled over the battlefield. His smile vanished at once.
The next moment.
Whoosh!
Tabble's vision blurred, and Vegeta disappeared.
Before he could even turn around, he heard a muffled sound as something was pierced, followed by a desperate scream.
Pfft!
"Argh!!!!"
When Tabble finally turned around, he saw a purple head fly into the air.
Clearly, Vegeta had beheaded Abocado.
He certainly was swift and ruthless.
But that was how you had to deal with enemies!
Then Vegeta tossed Abocado's body into the sky and fired two brilliant white energy waves.
Boom!
The body and head instantly turned to ash.
Up in the air, Son Gohan looked a little stunned. At last, he came to his senses and slowly descended.
"Uncle Vegeta, didn't we agree that I'd take care of them?"
"Why did you suddenly step in?"
The sight of Vegeta's merciless actions had stirred something deep in him.
It reminded him of the time they had killed a Saiyan named Nappa!
The memory had left him shaken.
"Hmph!"
"Son Gohan, if you keep showing your enemies the same mercy as Kakarot, sooner or later you'll pay dearly for it!" Vegeta scolded him without holding back.
Once upon a time, this boy had defeated Super Perfect Cell all by himself, saving them from the brink of death.
In just a few short years, he had caught up with and surpassed Vegeta and Son Goku.
Back then, how spirited, mighty, and imposing he had been!
But now?
There wasn't a trace of a warrior's edge left in him!
Vegeta was frustrated with him—and saddened by the waste of his potential.
After giving him a few more words of reprimand, Vegeta turned and walked toward Tabble.
Son Gohan awkwardly scratched his head and gave a sheepish smile without saying anything. Then he followed.
He really had considered letting Abocado go.
As far as he was concerned, no matter what, Abocado was still a living being.
Besides, they hadn't suffered any losses. What harm would it have done to spare him?
But since Vegeta had killed him, there was nothing more to be said.
