Background / History

King Vegeta assigned Licks, a mid-level Saiyan warrior, to protect Tarble. He served beside another guard, Tomato, who died defending Tarble during an earlier battle; Licks remained at Tarble's side afterward. 1 21

After Tarble's recovery from severe injuries, Licks noticed a marked change in his prince's conduct: Tarble became determined to train and spoke with greater resolve. Licks came to admire this change and continued training alongside him. 14

Licks traveled with Tarble to Earth in a spherical spaceship after more than two years in space. He detected several strong power readings upon arrival and feared the pursuing Frieza remnants, Abo and Cado, but Tarble's words restored his resolve. 3 4

Personality

Licks is intensely loyal, formal, and duty-driven. He consistently addresses Tarble as “Your Highness,” follows behind him rather than moving ahead, and treats protecting him as his foremost responsibility. 4 14 22

Though initially fearful of enemies stronger than Frieza, he responds strongly to encouragement and channels anxiety, resentment, and embarrassment into training. 4 19 20
