"Hahaha!! Hahahahaha!! I, Vegeta, have actually been resurrected! I never imagined that this Prince would have a day like this!! Frieza, oh Frieza, you must be absolutely furious right now, aren't you? Just stay put in Hell!"
Vegeta laughed maniacally, his face twisting with the intensity of his mirth.
Only a moment ago, he had been tormented by Frieza in the afterlife. Though he had been filled with hatred, the barrier between the living and the dead was now gone, and no one could ever restrain him, Vegeta, again.
From this day forward, the world was his to conquer!
He, Vegeta, would gradually usurp Frieza's position and become the new Emperor of the Universe.
Even with the threat of Frieza's father, King Cold, still looming, as long as he remained alive, he could continue to grow stronger. And as long as he grew stronger, he would surely be able to become a Super Saiyan, powerful enough to surpass that low-class warrior, Kakarot.
Clearly, Vegeta had no idea of the actual situation at this moment, still laboring under the assumption that Son Goku had transformed into a Super Saiyan to strike Frieza down.
Therefore, he held Son Goku as his ultimate goal from the bottom of his heart.
"Hm? Why is the sky dark on Namek? Wait!!"
At this moment, noticing the anomaly, Vegeta snapped back to reality.
Realizing something, he widened his eyes and stared in the direction where he sensed the energy, a look of astonishment flashing across his face.
"That is... the Namekian dragon, Porunga!! What on earth is going on? Isn't the dragon supposed to have... No, wait, since I've been resurrected, something must have happened..."
As his voice trailed off, a look of madness returned to Vegeta's expression: "Good, this is very good! Although I don't know how the dragon was restored, this is a godsend for me! You must never have expected that I would be resurrected by you, right? Hehehe~!"
He did not believe for a second that Kakarot and his friends would have voluntarily used the dragon to bring him back.
After all, they were enemies at the end of the day; he had invaded Earth and caused destruction there.
Even if he hadn't personally killed those who died, Nappa had acted under his orders, so those lives were lost because of him.
After pondering for a moment, Vegeta leaped into the air, exploding with energy as he sped toward the location of the dragon, Porunga.
He had to see what was going on.
He also wanted to see if there was a chance to make a wish.
The distance was not great, and at the speed his current strength allowed, he arrived in just twenty or thirty seconds.
He immediately spotted Son Goku, Piccolo, Krillin, Son Gohan, and Bulma on the ground, and of course, Ron.
Landing before them without hesitation, Vegeta looked at Son Goku with a cold, arrogant expression, ignoring everyone else.
In his mind, only Kakarot was worth his attention; even if Piccolo the Namekian had grown stronger, he was still far from being his match.
Especially now.
As their eyes met, Son Goku smiled and spoke first: "It looks like your strength has increased since your resurrection. I hope you can change your ways and stop invading other planets and causing destruction."
Hearing Son Goku's words, Vegeta let out a soft huff.
He was stunned and incredulous.
He had suspected that he had only been resurrected as a byproduct of their wish.
But now, Kakarot's words made it clear that he wasn't the least bit surprised by his return.
So, did they resurrect him on purpose?
Vegeta's thoughts were in a state of disarray.
However, he quickly regained his composure.
"Hmph! Don't think that just because you used a wish to bring me back, this Prince will be grateful to you! Kakarot, you really are naive and soft-hearted. I am your enemy; aren't you afraid I'll turn on you? I am the Saiyan Prince! I will never take orders from you!!" Vegeta said with an arrogant tone.
As he spoke, he silently clenched his fists, feeling a sense of resentment.
Kakarot's expression was too frustrating for him to bear.
Receiving no response, Vegeta took a deep breath and added: "Show me, then. Show me the true form of a Super Saiyan, Kakarot!"
At these words, Son Goku helplessly raised a hand to scratch his hair.
"Regrettably, I wish I could become a Super Saiyan myself, but the one who transformed is not me." As he spoke, Son Goku gestured for Vegeta to look toward Ron. "The one who became a Super Saiyan is him, Ron."
"What did you say?!" Vegeta turned to look at Ron in disbelief.
It was only then that his pupils constricted.
The information fed back by his energy sensing made his heart skip a beat.
He hadn't paid any attention before, because in his view, even if there was one more person he didn't recognize, it was impossible for them to be stronger than him or Kakarot.
He had even subconsciously assumed this person was an Earthling.
He never expected it to be a Saiyan—and a Super Saiyan who had truly defeated Frieza, at that.
"Impossible! Aside from myself and Kakarot, the only other surviving Saiyan should be that half-breed brat! Where did you crawl out from?!" Vegeta stared intently at Ron.
"Is it that hard to believe? If I were in your shoes, I'd find it hard to believe, too. But the facts are right in front of you. I am a Saiyan, born with a power level of 100. I left Planet Vegeta when I was three, escaping the crisis of the planet's destruction. Twenty-five years have passed in the blink of an eye!" Ron didn't offer much of an explanation, but these simple words were enough to clarify his identity and tell Vegeta that he, too, had once been nothing more than a low-class warrior.
Even if he wasn't the lowest of the low, a power level of 100 was dozens of times weaker than him, the Saiyan Prince.
Vegeta's breathing rhythm began to falter.
He found it hard to believe, yet he had no choice but to accept it.
Because the reality was standing right before him.
He was unwilling to accept this.
He even felt a sense of bewilderment.
How could this be?!
He was the Prince of all Saiyans, hailed as the most gifted warrior in a century!
He had been burdened with high expectations, seen as the one destined to become the legendary Super Saiyan.
Yet now, he, the prince, had truly become a joke.
First surpassed by Kakarot, and now, another low-class warrior had emerged to leave him far behind.
"Hmph! Some people just can't face reality; it's truly pathetic." Piccolo spoke up suddenly, his tone laced with disdain and mockery.
The implication was clear: look at you now.
When Vegeta first arrived on Earth, how imposing had he been?
To him now, Vegeta posed no threat at all.
Even though the power within him had been granted by Ron and was only temporary, he was using this strength to gradually grow accustomed to it and break through his own limits.
Just looking at the limits of his current power, even after Ron's energy was exhausted, he would at least be twice as strong as he had been at his previous peak.
