Accompanied by Dende, Son Gohan, Krillin, and Bulma.
As the Grand Elder's life reached its final moments.
The Namekians scattered across the planet Namek finally arrived one after another.
Whether old or young, they were all children brought into this world by the Grand Elder, and they gathered together to see him through the final leg of his journey.
Before the Grand Elder truly passed away, not a single Namekian lost control of their emotions.
Everyone maintained a peaceful state of mind; even if their hearts were filled with immense reluctance, they remained quiet.
This was the best way to say goodbye.
Even those Namekians who had been killed by Vegeta did not engage in loud disputes in front of the Grand Elder upon seeing him.
To be honest, Ron was actually quite curious.
Because these Namekians had been killed by Vegeta, and the wish made was to resurrect those who had died because of Frieza.
Although Vegeta coming to Namek and killing Namekians to seize the Dragon Balls was indeed linked to Frieza, strictly speaking, it was a bit of a stretch.
After all, it was Vegeta who had committed the slaughter to satisfy his own desire to obtain all the Dragon Balls and summon the dragon to make a wish.
Watching the Grand Elder's massive body wither rapidly, it sank into the soil like fertilizer upon touching the ground of Namek...
Soon, a new sprout emerged from the earth.
This was the cycle of life for the Namekians; when their lives reached an end, they found rebirth in decay, and the seed of that rebirth would transform into an Ajisa Tree.
A new chapter was about to begin with the growth of this Ajisa Tree.
"Dust to dust, earth to earth. According to the Grand Elder's final wish, this shall be his resting place. May he continue to watch over Namek and protect us, his people... I, Mulin, shall inherit the Grand Elder's will. From this day forward, I will continue to lead our people in restoring Namek's ecosystem and protecting this planet!" The Third Elder, Mulin, stepped forward and bowed to the Ajisa Tree that the Grand Elder had become.
Immediately, all the Namekians expressed their inner wishes and promised to follow Grand Elder Mulin.
Once the mourning concluded, Mulin turned to Ron, Son Goku, and the others, stating that he was aware of everything. He guaranteed that he would strengthen the dragon Porunga to assist Son Goku and his friends in fulfilling their wishes in ninety days.
Naturally, he also expressed his gratitude to Ron, promising that from now on, Ron could summon Porunga to make wishes at any time.
This special treatment stunned everyone except the Namekians.
Especially Vegeta, whose eyes nearly popped out of his head.
What he wanted but could not obtain, others were granted without even having to ask.
Humiliation, resentment, indignation... various emotions swirled in his heart, yet he was helpless.
After all, the man was a Super Saiyan who had eliminated the Emperor of the Universe, Frieza, and saved the Namekian race.
As for the others, their shock stemmed purely from the fact that this meant Ron could achieve any wish he desired without limitation.
Regardless of the wish, the Namekians would help him realize it.
If they hadn't already known that Ron wasn't the type of heinous villain, they would have been worried sick.
"Alright, now that the Grand Elder has departed, it is time to discuss serious matters, and we must settle the score with him!"
Suddenly, a voice rang out from among the Namekians, drawing everyone's attention.
It was a warrior from the tribe who was quite skilled in combat; although he wasn't a true combat-type Namekian, his power level was 3,000.
As he spoke, several other warriors with power levels of one or two thousand stepped out beside him, glaring at Vegeta.
Clearly, they intended to settle accounts with Vegeta.
They had been killed by him previously, and the elders and children of their tribe had been ruthlessly slaughtered. They hated their own incompetence, and had it not been for the Grand Elder's impending passing, they would have acted long ago.
Facing the hostility of the majority of the Namekians, Vegeta kept a cold face, his eyes icy.
"Hmph! I remember you. Your resistance was quite tenacious back then. What, looking for revenge? By all means, come at me! But let me warn you, don't think that just because there are many of you, you can defeat me. The me of the past was not someone you could shake, and the current me is even further beyond your reach."
Vegeta's words were incredibly arrogant.
He had anticipated this situation, and he neither fled nor avoided it precisely because he respected the Grand Elder's grace!
Some things had to be faced sooner or later.
For him now, he didn't want to cause trouble, but he wasn't afraid of it either.
In truth, the things he had done before to ensure he got the Dragon Balls were also meant to stop Frieza from gathering them.
Looking back at everything that had happened in between, he found it almost laughable.
Because of Vegeta's words, the expressions of all the Namekians turned incredibly ugly.
They looked toward Piccolo, intentionally or otherwise.
This combat-type compatriot who had assimilated with Nail.
If he were to strike, he would surely be able to defeat Vegeta.
However, although they were of the same race, Piccolo had grown up on Earth; not only were they strangers, but there was no emotional bond between them.
Piccolo clearly noticed many eyes fixed upon him.
As a Namekian, and especially with the Grand Elder having just passed, he thought for a moment before speaking up: "Vegeta, you had better think carefully about what you are doing. Although I promised the Grand Elder I would not kill you, if you truly strike at my kin, I will not be bound by that promise! Even if it means breaking my word, I will kill you!"
Once the threat was issued, Vegeta was visibly furious.
"Do you even hear yourself?! I didn't start this!! Besides, I already told the Grand Elder that I wouldn't lay a hand on his people again!!"
Vegeta knew very well that Piccolo was indeed much stronger than him now; he was no match for him.
Right now, he was the one on the defensive.
Piccolo snorted coldly again, his gaze sweeping over his kin present.
He was in a difficult position as well; the Grand Elder had given him specific instructions, and furthermore, the Grand Elder had helped Vegeta unlock his potential, which meant Vegeta must have made some kind of agreement with the Grand Elder.
Just then, Mulin stepped forward to block the tribesmen who were about to lash out, sternly stopping them: "Everyone, stop! Fighting now is meaningless. The crisis has been resolved, and everyone has been resurrected. Have you all forgotten the Grand Elder's final instructions?"
Hearing Mulin's words, the Namekians who were still filled with anger finally wilted, bowing their heads one by one.
Seeing that everyone had retracted their energy, Mulin turned his cold gaze toward Vegeta and said:
"Since things have come to this, pursuing it further would only escalate the situation!
"I trust the Grand Elder's judgment, and I am willing to resolve this grudge!
"I just hope you understand one thing: Namekians love peace and do not wish to make enemies, but we are absolutely not afraid of anyone. I hope that since you have received the Grand Elder's gift, you will keep your word and do no more evil!"
