Future Trunks

Future Trunks grows up in a world devastated by the Androids. Goku dies from heart disease without fighting them, while Vegeta, Kashius, Gohan, and other defenders are killed. Trunks nevertheless has Bulma’s care and Gohan’s guidance and training 301 304 368 661.

His mother builds the time machine that allows him to visit the past. He brings advance warning of the Android threat and medicine for Goku’s heart disease, hoping to prevent the catastrophe experienced by his own world 300 302 536.

Present Trunks

Present Trunks is born to Bulma and Vegeta during the Cell crisis. Vegeta names him immediately and reacts furiously when Cell claims to have killed a future boy with the same name. The family celebrates his birth with a banquet at Bulma’s home 338 339 340.

Unlike the absent fatherhood described for the original storyline, Vegeta regularly watches over his infant son. Bulma later remarks that Trunks has been spoiled by his father and has even copied his expressions 396 501.

His hatred of the future Androids initially shapes his treatment of present Android 18. He eventually recognizes that she is not responsible for her counterpart’s crimes and apologizes.
