Lucien's Tutoring Class: A Great Victory, Summer Vacation Begins
"Alright, perhaps we should make a few small changes to the decor here."
Dumbledore took out his wand and tapped it lightly.
The green and silver hues in the Great Hall suddenly transformed into blue and bronze, symbolizing wisdom.
The circling Slytherin snake disappeared, and in its place, a Ravenclaw eagle appeared out of nowhere.
The enormous eagle soared through the air; though its body was illusory, it possessed distinct feathers, making it appear remarkably lifelike.
After the eagle flew over everyone's heads, it soared towards the starry ceiling and gradually disappeared into the vast sea of stars.
After Dumbledore finished his magic show, he winked at Lucien and then returned to his seat in the middle of the High Table.
At this moment, Ravenclaw also erupted in joyful cheers.
However, the commotion was indeed much smaller Gryffindor made earlier.
Ravenclaw has a small population, mostly girls, so they can't shout too loudly.
However, the praise and enthusiasm that are due are indispensable.
While we won't deliberately pursue the House Cup, who would refuse an honor that's within their grasp?
"Wow, they actually won the House Cup this year!"
"This is all thanks to Lucien! Even setting aside the perfect score, the extra points he earned throughout the year are impressive!"
"Oh, Lucien, you always work so hard and it must be tiring. You must be exhausted from studying all year. Let your senior give you a hug."
"Hey, you in front, what are you doing!"
"You, let go of my roommate!"
After chatting politely with his classmates for a while, Lucien skillfully escaped the encirclement.
Congratulations, big star!
Qiu, who had been standing to the side without managing to squeeze in, raised her wine glass and chuckled jokingly at Lucien.
Lucien picked up his cup from the table, lightly clinked it against Qiu's, and they chatted briefly about their summer vacation plans.
Meanwhile, expectant gazes were cast from the long tables of Gryffindor and Slytherin.
Hermione and Daphne pretended to eat while glancing towards Ravenclaw.
The two of them tacitly came up with the same idea:
Lucien seems to be in "danger" in Ravenclaw.
Besides Ravenclaw, the other three houses also cheered and offered their blessings and praise.
Needless to say, the Hufflepuff had nothing to do with the House Cup; they were more interested in what kind of food would be served at today's banquet.
The school Great Hall recently introduced many new dishes, which are not only delicious but also varied, and are said to be dishes from the East.
After some inquiry, Hufflepuff, who were very enthusiastic about this, learned that it was Lucien who taught the House-elf this technique.
In other words, Lucien essentially secured Fawley for the Little Badger!
When Lucien was grouped with Ravenclaw in class, many students received his help, naturally increasing their fondness for this academically excellent and food-savvy classmate.
Some of the Little Badger even joked that it would have been better if Lucien had given Hufflepuff a share, because their diet might have been even better!
Slytherin, surprisingly, breathed a sigh of relief when Ravenclaw ultimately won the championship.
If the difference were only a few points or ten points, Slytherin might complain and be dissatisfied, but how can you compare a difference of a hundred points?
As long as Gryffindor, that's fine.
As for Gryffindor, who were most likely to hold a grudge, they still seemed incredibly happy. Although they didn't win the House Cup, they had beaten Slytherin this year!
Many of the Lions cubs raised their goblets and toasted the direction of the Slytherin table.
"A truly formidable opponent, but unfortunately, we are still a step ahead."
Upon hearing this, the little snakes felt disgusted, as if they had eaten slugs; they either snorted or remained silent, choosing to ignore the Lions.
Gryffindor, used to their opponents' behavior, knew this was how they reacted after being thwarted, and immediately ate and drank even more happily!
On the last day, the young wizards had already packed their things, and the wardrobe seemed to have suddenly become empty, with everything packed into suitcases.
The scores for all subjects were also announced at this time.
Lucien unsurprisingly took the top spot in the grade.
Second place went to the ever-diligent, know-it-all girl. Hermione looked at the rankings with a sigh, muttering to herself:
"So close, so close..."
"If I hadn't added that extra gram of 'Broken Dam Grass' powder during the potion test..."
Ignoring Hermione's nagging, Ron excitedly shook Harry's shoulder.
"Look, look! I'm in the top ten!"
"Now Mother won't scold me, phew, that's great. I used to dread this day whenever I saw Fred others getting yelled at by their Mother for their grades..."
Harry was a little dizzy from being shaken, and reluctantly pulled his hand away from Ron's.
"See? See? We're all here, and..."
Harry gestured with his lip towards the Slytherin group.
"Malfoy and Greengrass are ahead too."
Before Ron could express his opinion, two voices rang out in unison behind him:
"Ronnie, we heard everything you just said."
And so, Ron was dragged away by the Weasley Twins.
Lucien was very pleased with the results of the battle.
Excellent, excellent! You've all worked very hard and achieved remarkable results.
It feels wonderful to let more people experience the joy of learning and enjoy the acquisition of knowledge.
Well, Harry has already requested to do the pre-study over the summer, but I wonder what the others think, and whether they should follow suit...
Once again, I boarded the Hogwarts Express.
Last time, I was a freshman, full of longing and curiosity about magic.
Time flies, and another year has passed.
"Sigh, I can't use magic during the holiday. I was hoping to continue practicing."
Hermione looked out the window at the lush green countryside rushing past and sighed helplessly.
Before leaving, the young wizards received a notice from the school warning them that they were absolutely forbidden from using magic during the holidays. It was explained that their wands were implanted with invisible Trace, an invisibility spell cast by the Ministry of Magic, which could monitor magical activity in the surrounding area.
Ron waved his hand and swallowed the Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans in his mouth.
"Percy told me that this is actually easy to avoid. As long as there are adult wizards nearby, even if the Ministry of Magic comes knocking, you can explain it as magic used by adults."
Lucien was once again struck by the inconveniences of Muggle-born wizard. Pure-blood and Half-blood, protected by their parents, could freely practice and use magic during holidays, while young wizards born into Muggle families could only endure it.
While it's possible to go to places Diagon Alley where wizards congregate to evade the Ministry of Magic's surveillance, very few junior wizards can stay there permanently.
Putting aside the expenses, Muggle parents are also worried.
After all that, once the holiday is over, won't the gap widen significantly?
"You guys can just come over to my house and play sometime, and use magic however you want!"
Ron extended a warm invitation.
The group then exchanged contact information and home addresses so they could use owl mail delivery or meet in person.
The train gradually slowed down and finally stopped at Platform Nine and Three-Quarters.
Lucien, carrying his suitcase, stepped off the Hogwarts Express.
The much-anticipated summer vacation has begun!
