Principal, is this Nurmengard?
Leaving the room, Dumbledore didn't immediately take out the Portkey, but instead led Lucien down the stairs.
After walking down the stairs for a while, Lucien suddenly said:
"Headmaster, is this Nurmengard?"
Upon hearing the word "Nurmengard," Dumbledore was walking ahead, paused slightly, his steps faltering for a moment.
Dumbledore understood that Lucien wasn't really asking about place names, but rather "person names."
Walking ahead, Dumbledore had his back to Lucien, so Lucien naturally couldn't see his expression.
Dumbledore said softly, "Why do you ask that?"
Lucien touched a crudely sealed booklet in his pocket—it was a toss the old wizard had casually tossed to him before he left, filled with dense notes on the techniques and insights of the Fiendfyre.
"That person taught me some techniques about the Fiendfyre."
"The Fiendfyre he wielded earlier were incredibly powerful and under his complete control, and in the final moment, a ghostly blue light bloomed from the depths of the flames... My eyesight is pretty good; I happened to see that."
Lucien spoke calmly, as if stating something commonplace, "That blue... Professor Nicolas and I were chatting when he said that a wizard's Blue Fiendfyre almost burned down all of Paris..."
Seeing Dumbledore's noncommittal expression, Lucien continued, "I've also heard Mr. Scamander and Ms. Tina talk about how a wizard once used magic to change his appearance, fooling a group of Auror from America and even infiltrating their ranks."
"Of course, I didn't see any trace of Transfiguration on that person. Perhaps they used other magic to achieve a similar Transfiguration. Some Dark Magic has no shortage of ways to twist bones and flesh to change appearance; after all, naturally born Metamorphmagus are very rare."
After a pause, Lucien gave another reason:
"And, cough cough, Mr. Scamander told me that Gellert Grindelwald has very unique eyes, with a jewel-like charm; you can recognize him the moment you see him. Hmm, although his eyes look quite ordinary, there's always a kind of 'magic' that makes you want to look at them."
Lucien guessed that it might be because Grindelwald had a pair of "heavenly eyes" that could see into the future. Even if he changed his appearance with magic, his mysterious aura and the magic in the depths of his eyes could not be easily concealed.
Dumbledore was silent for a moment before speaking slowly, a hint of helpless amusement in his voice. "Newt didn't say that to Tina, did he?"
Lucien's lips curved slightly, but he didn't reply.
To compliment someone's eyes as being as beautiful as jewels, one naturally cannot say this directly to Tina's face.
Although Newt thought Tina's eyes resembled those of a salamander, bright and dazzling like fireworks in the night, such a compliment should be considered excellent by someone as fond of Magical Creatures as Newt.
But compared to "jewel-like eyes"...
Dumbledore continued down the stairs, his steps seeming lighter than before.
Now that Lucien recognized Grindelwald, Dumbledore no longer tried to hide it.
He didn't take out the Portkey, but instead led Lucien out of the castle tower.
The castle gates were wide open, revealing a gray sky and jagged cliffs.
The old Muggle guard at the gate sat on a wooden stool, his cloudy eyes fixed on the distance, completely unaware that the two men had walked past him.
Lucien turned around, his gaze falling on the somewhat blurred inscription above the castle doorframe—
"For the Greater Good"
" For the For the Greater Good..."
Hearing Lucien's whisper, Dumbledore also looked at his former "ideal," a hint of melancholy flashing in his eyes.
This place was once a pilgrimage site for Acolytes.
Many orders that have shaken up Europe and even the world have been issued from here.
However, after Dumbledore's final battle with Grindelwald, this place became a pure prison, a prison belonging solely to one man.
A sea breeze blew up from the cliff, fluttering the hems of their robes.
"Lucien, I've recently found some clues about Horcrux. Once we've determined the destination, would you like to go check it out together?"
"I'm really looking forward to an adventure with the great Dumbledore."
After some time.
Inside the tower room, Grindelwald Instant Whisper lightly, seemingly bored.
In fact, Dumbledore was the only friend listed in that book, so the extra blank address sheets seemed superfluous.
"Bite"
A crisp notification sound rang out.
Upon seeing the new message on the page, Grindelwald paused for a moment, his finger hovering over the page before he began to write.
"I recognized him... Could you ask Lucien to visit someone for me? If he agrees, I'll give him some books to read, how about that?"
