Background / History

Mu Xi is Mu Chen's daughter and was present with him at the Blacksmith Association when Cen Yue arrived to arrange Li Moxun's assessment. Both initially expected Tang Wulin to arrive instead. 33

When Tang Wulin appeared badly injured after his match with Li Moxun, Mu Xi confronted Li Moxun and demanded an explanation. She challenged him to a duel after his Thousand Refinement First Grade examination, framing it as an opportunity to avenge Tang Wulin. 34

During the confrontation, Mu Xi used her third soul skill to launch fireballs at Li Moxun. He deliberately feigned injury, while Mu Chen offered compensation and reprimanded Mu Xi only lightly. Mu Xi consequently believed she had seriously wounded Li Moxun. 35 36

Before the Tianhai Alliance Grand Competition, Mu Xi asked Tang Wulin to yield the championship to her in exchange for both first- and second-place rewards. Tang Wulin agreed, despite Mu Xi being only a Level 3 blacksmith while he had reached Level 4. 37

Soon afterward, she and Tang Wulin were attacked by a mysterious young man—later identified in context as one of Li Moxun's clones. Mu Xi was specifically targeted, had an arm severed, and was left unconscious; the attacker’s flames destroyed the arm beyond reattachment. 37 39

Her injury removed her from the junior blacksmith delegation. Li Moxun replaced her as a Donghai City representative alongside Tang Wulin, since Mu Xi could no longer forge. 51

Mu Xi is noted to have golden eyes. 37

Personality

Mu Xi is prideful and quick-tempered, especially where Tang Wulin is concerned. She immediately assumes Li Moxun wronged Tang Wulin, challenges him without knowing the full circumstances, and attacks during the confrontation. 34 35

She is also ambitious about recognition as a blacksmith. Her request that Tang Wulin surrender a possible championship reflects her desire for the title despite recognizing that his forging ability surpassed hers. 37
