Background

Originally the Ice Empress was a four-hundred-thousand-year Ice Jade Empress Scorpion and one of the Far North's dominant ferocious beasts. Unable to survive her approaching heavenly tribulation, she was already facing an uncertain future when Bai Ran's group encountered her during an escalating confrontation with the Ice Jade Scorpion clan. 79 80

Bai Ran struck her with a Mixue Ice Cream & Tea Employee Card, binding her origin to his martial soul. The contract made their lives interdependent—if Bai Ran died, she would die as well—and reduced her from her original adult form to a green-haired little girl whose cultivation could not exceed Bai Ran's. 79 80

Though initially furious at the loss of her freedom and status, she found herself willing to remain with Bai Ran after tasting his ice cream. She became Mixue's sole employee, with the duty of protecting its shop owner, while Bai Ran used a remote control to discipline her through humiliating forced performances. 79 80 119
