Background / History

Dai Mubai is the Crown Prince of the Star Luo Empire and Zhu Zhuqing's fiancé. He left the empire for Shrek Academy, while Zhu Zhuqing later traveled a great distance to find him. Tang Si characterizes this flight as escapism, particularly because Dai Mubai left without considering Zhu Zhuqing's safety. 59

His conduct becomes publicly exposed through the Sky Screen. At the Rose Hotel, he defends his womanizing by calling it a man's “social obligations” and argues that, as Crown Prince, he is entitled to play around with women so long as he reserves the Crown Princess position for Zhu Zhuqing. 39
