Tang Si deliberately chooses the obscure, unranked academy after his thousand-year first soul ring draws attention from major factions; he considers its remote location useful for maintaining a low profile. 39

Its graduation benchmark is reaching Rank 40 before age twenty. Dai Mubai claims that forty-two students had enrolled since the academy’s founding and that fourteen graduated, all becoming renowned figures. He further claims Shrek’s greatest graduate became Spirit Hall’s youngest elder, second only to the Pope in authority. 45

That claimed alumnus is publicly disproved when Bibi Dong states that no Spirit Hall elder came from Shrek, especially not one with authority second only to hers. The revelation leads viewers and former applicants to denounce the academy’s promotional claims as fraudulent; Dai Mubai admits he does not even know the supposed graduate’s name. 45

The proposed integration into Heaven Dou Royal Academy is interrupted when Dugu Bo arrives alongside Prince Xue Xing and orders everyone except Tang Si to leave. Although Flender initially resists the humiliation, Yu Xiaogang persuades him to withdraw the Shrek group. 104

Dugu Bo’s earlier extermination threat also causes a temporary collapse of the village campus: students flee, outside factions distance themselves from Shrek, and Li Yusong reportedly leaves overnight. 81 82

By the time Tang Si later returns, Shrek Academy has been substantially upgraded and is no longer the destitute village school it was formerly described as. 120
