Background / History

Xue Beng was born as one of Emperor Xue Ye's twin sons. Concerned that defeat in a future war against Spirit Hall could destroy the imperial family, Xue Ye entrusted the younger twin, Xue Gu, to Prince Xue Xing to be raised secretly outside the palace. The younger twin subsequently lived under the name Lin Ya. 1

Xue Beng was raised under Prince Xue Xing's protection and guidance. Xue Xing initially instructed him to hide his abilities, but changed course after Ning Fengzhi agreed to accept Xue Beng as a disciple; Xue Xing then provided him with the Golden Light Mantra so he could cultivate openly and qualify for the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Elite Tournament. 40
