Background / History

The Dragon God was believed by the Silver Dragon King to have returned through Huang Long's Yinglong martial soul. Huang Long's awakening roar spread across the continent, compelled soul beasts to submit, and stirred the sleeping Silver Dragon King from her long slumber. Convinced that the Dragon God had reincarnated, she dispatched Di Tian, Bear Lord, and Red King to locate him. 2

Six years later, Di Tian's bloodline reacted when Huang Long departed Sea God Island. Di Tian, Bear Lord, and Red King confronted Huang Long outside Vast Sea City, but his dragon might forced all three ferocious beasts into submission. Huang Long explicitly denied being the Dragon God's reincarnation; Di Tian nevertheless treated their bloodline resonance and instinctive fear as proof. 13 15

The soul beasts continued to recognize Huang Long as their master. Di Tian and Red King stated that, should he return to the Star Dou Great Forest, he would become master of the entire soul beast clan. Bear Lord further explained that the soul beasts' submission to the Dragon God and Silver Dragon King was embedded in their bloodlines rather than based solely on strength. 16 17

At the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, the lingering consciousnesses of the Ice Dragon King and Fire Dragon King awakened in response to Huang Long's aura. They identified him as their Father and offered their preserved soul bones so he could command pure ice and fire, hoping he would lead the soul beast race back to the God Realm. Though Huang Long again stated that Yinglong was not the Dragon God, he accepted the responsibility after the two Dragon Kings faded away. 38
