Beerus and Whis

"That's how it is."

Older Trunks briefly explained what had happened with Zamasu.

"I see."

The Old Supreme Kai could also see how serious the situation was.

"No problem. I'll contact Whis right away."

The Old Supreme Kai pulled out something resembling a mirror from who knew where and called Whis.

"Whis, Whis, are you there?"

The Old Supreme Kai called into the mirror. Whis's image appeared within it. Upon seeing the Old Supreme Kai, he looked somewhat surprised and covered his mouth.

"Oh my, Old Supreme Kai, you broke through the seal!"

The two chatted for a while.

"Old Supreme Kai, may I ask what you need from me?"

"It's like this."

The Old Supreme Kai went on and on, recounting Zamasu's situation once more.

"Oh, so if this Zamasu appears, Lord Beerus will take action? No problem. What do you say, Lord Beerus?"

The moment Whis answered the call, Beerus had already been stretching out his ears to eavesdrop.

Beerus squeezed his way over and spoke to the Old Supreme Kai.

"No problem. If that guy called Zamasu appears in our universe, I'll deal with him."

Beerus had not fought in a long time, and his hands were getting itchy. If Zamasu showed up, Beerus would teach him a lesson.

At that moment, Gogeta also squeezed over and spoke to Beerus and Whis.

"Lord Beerus, Mr. Whis, please come to Earth when you have the time."

"Who are you supposed to be?"

Seeing Gogeta, Beerus asked impatiently.

"Lord Beerus, I'm Gogeta. Earth has lots of delicious food!"

Gogeta tempted Beerus with food. He refused to believe Beerus would not come.

Gogeta's goal was simple: he wanted Whis to give him some guidance.

"Really? If you're lying to me, I'll destroy you."

Beerus was somewhat doubtful and threatened him.

"Of course, Lord Beerus. If it isn't delicious, you can destroy me and Earth together."

Gogeta patted his chest, looking utterly confident.

What a joke. With Earth's food, Beerus would be completely hooked. He had never even eaten instant noodles—what other delicacies could he possibly have tasted?

"You brat, are you asking something of me?"

Beerus narrowed his eyes, wearing an expression that said he had already seen through him.

"Haha! Lord Beerus saw right through me."

Gogeta scratched the back of his head.

"I'd like to ask Mr. Whis to guide my training."

Gogeta did not try to hide it and openly stated his purpose.

"If Earth's food isn't delicious, I won't let Whis guide you."

Beerus had lived for so long—what kind of food had he not eaten? He did not believe Earth could have anything particularly tasty.

If Gogeta wanted Whis's guidance, he first had to satisfy Beerus's stomach.

"Then I'll await Lord Beerus's arrival on Earth."

Done. Gogeta rejoiced inwardly. With Whis's guidance, he would definitely be able to advance even further.

"Well then, Old Supreme Kai, we'll be taking our leave. Please take your time educating your junior."

Gogeta gave Supreme Kai Shin a look that said, "You're on your own."

Then he pulled Older Trunks and Trunks away. There was nothing for them to do by staying here, so they might as well return and prepare more food.

On Beerus's side, he and Whis also set off for Earth. Beerus and Whis wanted to learn more detailed information about Zamasu from Older Trunks.

In space, Beerus sat cross-legged in midair with one hand resting on Whis's shoulder and the other supporting his head.

"Whis, do you think that guy Gogeta was telling the truth? Does that place called Earth really have delicious food?"

"I remember going there once before. That fellow called Dinosaur was terribly rude, so I destroyed him."

Whis raised his staff and checked Earth's information.

"Oh my, Lord Beerus, this planet called Earth has developed a very prosperous human civilization!"

"By the way, Frieza was defeated by a Saiyan on Earth named Son Goku."

"What?!"

Beerus's eyes widened in disbelief. Though Frieza was nothing special in his eyes, after waking from his sleep, he felt that no one in the universe should have been able to defeat him.

"Son Goku transformed into something called a Super Saiyan and defeated Frieza."

Son Goku's face appeared within Whis's staff, showing the scene from Namek back then.

"So that guy named Son Goku is the strongest in the universe now?"

"No, Son Goku is already dead. He died of heart disease. Androids appeared on Earth, and they were even stronger than Frieza. The humans on Earth were almost completely wiped out!"

The image in the staff shifted to Android 17 and Android 18, then changed again to Cell and Majin Buu.

Standing behind Whis, Beerus also saw the images in the staff and sighed.

"Earth really has been through one disaster after another!"

"That is all Lord Beerus's fault. If Lord Beerus did not sleep for so long every time and properly fulfill his responsibilities as the God of Destruction, so many civilizations in our universe would not have been destroyed by evil people. Our universe has remained near the bottom of the rankings for years."

Whis's words greatly angered Beerus, who shouted at him.

"Shut up already, Whis!"

"My apologies, Lord Beerus. I wasn't saying you were lazy. Hahaha."

Whis delivered the strongest possible apology, yet his words provoked Beerus again.

"Hmph!"

Beerus turned his head away, unwilling to speak. After all these years, he had long grown used to that poisonous mouth, but it still made him angry.

Whis also knew that Beerus would sulk for a while and get over it soon enough.

Before long, Whis and Beerus arrived on Earth.

On Gogeta's side, he had only just returned to Earth and started preparing food with Bulma when Beerus and Whis arrived.

At Bulma's house, a large group sat gathered around the dining table in the open space, which was covered in food.

"Mmm!!"

"This is delicious too! That is delicious too!"

Whis and Beerus were like beggars entering a city for the first time, utterly overwhelmed by what they saw.

Gogeta rapidly stuffed himself with food as well, saying at the same time, "Lord Beerus, I told you I was right!"

Beerus merely responded, but the speed of his hands only increased.

Gogeta immediately noticed.

The dining table became a battlefield between the two of them. Whis quickly picked up the delicacies he had planned to save for last, lest they be caught in the crossfire.

In the end, both Beerus and Gogeta were stuffed and lay on the ground.

"Not bad, kid. You almost beat me."

Beerus said to Gogeta.

"As expected of Lord Beerus!"

Gogeta answered with difficulty. He could not eat another bite; the very sight of food made him want to vomit.

Beside Beerus and Gogeta, Older Trunks and Whis sat beneath a parasol as Older Trunks explained Zamasu's details.

"I see."

"Learning of a human stronger than gods gave him thoughts he should never have had."

Whis accurately identified the reason Goku Black had appeared.

At that moment, Beerus said, "Should we go to Universe 10 now and destroy that guy named Zamasu?"

"Lord Beerus, he belongs to Universe 10. Even if he is to be destroyed, that is Universe 10's business."

Whis objected to Beerus.

"That's true."

Beerus thought of Universe 10's God of Destruction, the elephant. If he found out Beerus had gone over and destroyed the apprentice Supreme Kai from his universe, he would definitely come looking for trouble again.
