Broly, Defeated!

Gogeta transformed into Super Saiyan Blue, stretched out a hand to block Broly's punch, then raised his leg and drove it viciously into Broly's body. Broly had already lost his reason and gone completely berserk. Unable to dodge, he took Gogeta's attack head-on, then let out a furious roar.

"Ah!!!"

He threw another punch straight at Gogeta's handsome face. Gogeta knocked aside Broly's fist with his left hand, gathered power in his right, and punched Broly in the chest.

"Yah!!"

That punch caused Broly intense pain. He opened his mouth wide and spat out a mouthful of blood. Gogeta followed up with another vicious kick to Broly's face, sending him flying. Then Gogeta powered up, turning into a streak of blue light as he flew toward Broly. Broly powered up as well, becoming a green streak of light and charging at Gogeta.

The blue and green figures collided relentlessly in midair, like two meteors streaking across the pitch-black sky.

Gogeta and Broly continued trading blows, fighting from the sky to the ground and then down into the earth. The searing magma posed no trouble for them at all; instead, their clashes sent it erupting from the ground.

Within the magma, Broly took another punch from Gogeta and staggered back repeatedly. Energy gathered in Broly's hand as he reached toward Gogeta. Gogeta reacted swiftly, grabbing the energy in Broly's hand and crushing it with force. Before Broly's astonished eyes, Gogeta launched an uppercut that blasted him out of the magma.

Broly flew out of the magma and into the air. Gogeta used Instant Transmission to appear in front of Broly's face, pressing the energy waves gathered in both hands against Broly's body. The energy exploded in an instant, and Broly crashed viciously into a distant mountain.

"Yahhh!!! Hah!!!"

Broly's energy surged wildly once more, his green aura shattering even the mountain behind him. Broly transformed again; his hair was no longer golden, but a wild grass-green.

Broly raised his hand, and a grass-green energy blast instantly formed and expanded before hurtling toward Gogeta. Gogeta caught it with one hand.

"Hah!"

Gogeta crushed the energy blast with force. It turned into green fragments and slowly faded away.

But Broly had already arrived before Gogeta. Gogeta had no time to react before a punch struck him in the face. Broly followed with another punch to Gogeta's stomach. The terrifying force pierced through Gogeta, causing the mountain behind him to collapse outright.

Broly grabbed Gogeta by the hair and lifted him up, then aimed a hand at Gogeta's face, preparing to reward him with an energy wave.

Gogeta drove his knee into Broly's chest, wrapped both hands around Broly's arm, dragged him down toward the ground, and hurled him away viciously.

Boom!!!

Thick smoke rose from the ground, obscuring Broly's condition.

"Yah!!! Hahhh!!!"

Broly powered up again, blasting away the smoke. He raised a hand, instinctively using Prince's Tactic without anyone teaching him, and dense green energy blasts flew toward Gogeta. Gogeta nimbly dodged through the air while closing in on Broly.

Gogeta circled behind Broly. The instant Broly turned around, Gogeta's fist was already in his face, knocking Broly back again and again. Broly raised a hand and fired an energy wave, but Gogeta lightly leaped aside to dodge it. After spinning several times in midair, he kicked at Broly. Broly blocked with both hands, yet still could not withstand the force, his feet plowing two long trenches into the ground.

Broly had barely lowered his arms when Gogeta's energy blasts rained down from the sky, catching him completely off guard. Broly howled in pain, gathering energy to form a green barrier in front of himself and barely holding back Gogeta's attack.

Gogeta realized Broly had reached his limit. He stopped attacking and gathered a Kamehameha.

"Hah!!"

The Kamehameha struck Broly, causing a violent explosion in an instant.

Gogeta landed on the ground and waited for the smoke to clear.

When the smoke dispersed, Broly had already returned to normal and lay unconscious.

Gogeta picked Broly up and returned to the others watching the battle.

Gogeta set Broly down and asked Beerus, "What do you think, Lord Beerus?"

"Not bad, but he has too little combat experience. He only knows how to rely on brute force."

Beerus gave his assessment, and Whis shared the same view.

"After all, he hadn't fought anyone for decades. He's already very impressive. Even Trunks couldn't beat Broly. With a little training, he'll become an outstanding warrior."

Gogeta added, "However, I feel Broly's personality might not be suited to becoming a God of Destruction either. His heart is very pure and kind."

"But it still depends on what he wants."

"Hmph, I haven't even agreed to let him become a candidate for God of Destruction yet."

Beerus was a little displeased. He was the God of Destruction, okay!

"It's fine. If he can't become a God of Destruction, he can do something else! Or he can stay on Earth."

Gogeta said indifferently. Bulma could afford to support him anyway; anything would do. He had only wanted to see Broly for himself so he could find the Broly on his own side after returning. Now that he had memorized Broly's ki, he could use Instant Transmission to get there without relying on Whis's power anymore.

"I'll think about it."

Beerus decided to give it more thought.

Gogeta went to Paragus's side, raised a hand, and used a healing spell. Paragus was instantly restored to full health. Gogeta had never intended to kill him; he had merely used him to provoke Broly.

Paragus opened his eyes. I'm still alive? He looked at his hands, hardly able to believe it.

Gogeta then went over to Broly and used another healing spell, restoring Broly to full health as well.

Broly stood up and was about to attack Gogeta when Gogeta pointed to the side.

"Father?"

Seeing that his father was fine, Broly was overjoyed. Paragus was equally delighted to see Broly. He had nearly taken a trip to the afterlife just now, and the hatred in his heart had faded. All he wanted was to live well with his son.

Father and son embraced.

Paragus felt his shoulder grow wet, and his heart trembled. All these years, he had cared too little for Broly. He had been consumed by thoughts of revenge and ignored Broly's feelings. But luckily, there was still time to make up for it. With that in mind, Paragus said to Broly, "Broly, you've had it hard these past years."

After saying that, Paragus felt Broly's embrace tighten. He stroked Broly's head and said, "Alright, alright. You're a grown man—don't cry."

Seeing this, Older Trunks also found himself missing his father, Vegeta.

"Alright, enough. Let's go. I'll take you out of here."

Gogeta interrupted the touching father-son moment.

However, Broly still did not trust him completely, his gaze wary.

Gogeta had no choice but to explain to Broly that he had only used Paragus because he wanted to witness Broly's power.

Then he told Paragus about Vegeta's bloodline. When Paragus heard that everyone from Vegeta's line was dead, he was overjoyed. As for Trunks, he did not even look like Vegeta, so he did not count.

Seeing that his father had forgiven Gogeta, Broly no longer regarded Gogeta as an enemy.

In the end, the two of them followed Gogeta back to Earth.
