After returning to Earth, Broly and his father finally no longer looked so ragged. After washing up a little, they seemed much more spirited.

Gogeta and the others were already eating with great enthusiasm. Seeing the two arrive, Older Trunks greeted them and invited them to sit down for the meal.

Broly stared blankly at the food before him, which he had never seen before.

Paragus had already begun wolfing it down. How long had it been? How long had it been since he had eaten a proper meal? At that moment, his heart was filled with satisfaction.

Seeing that his father had started eating, Broly began as well. He picked up a piece of roasted meat and took a bite. It was completely different from anything he had ever tasted—so delicious. Broly started devouring it too, but he ate too quickly and choked.

Older Trunks picked up a cup beside him, poured a glass of water, and handed it to Broly. Broly took it and drank, feeling immensely refreshed. He then asked Older Trunks, "What is this?"

"This is water."

Older Trunks felt deeply sorry for Broly. The fact that he had never even drunk water made him hate the grandfather he had never met even more.

Older Trunks took out a bottle of juice, handed it to Broly, and said, "This tastes even better. Give it a try."

Broly accepted it and took a sip. Then he said earnestly to Older Trunks, "Thank you, Trunks. I like it very much."

When he was not fighting, Broly was simply a polite, good kid.

After the meal, everyone sat on the ground and chatted. Older Trunks was very curious about where Broly's strength came from, so he asked, "Broly, how did you train to become so strong? And what was that transformation of yours? Was it Super Saiyan?"

Broly replied, "I fight the monsters on the planet every day. As for the transformation, I don't know either."

Paragus explained at this point, "Broly is a Saiyan mutant.

"When Broly was still young, he would occasionally go berserk. At first, I thought it was because of his tail, so I cut off Broly's tail. But things did not improve. Broly would still go berserk.

"Moreover, Broly's strength increased every day. Soon, I was no longer a match for him. My eye was injured by Broly back then.

"So I put a control device on Broly. Whenever he went berserk, pressing the button would make the device release an electric current to stop him from going berserk, allowing me to control Broly better.

"I'm sorry, Broly."

Having said this, Paragus apologized to Broly—for controlling him all these years, and for injuring Broly's childhood playmate.

Broly touched the cloth around his waist and said to his father, "It's all right, Father."

Broly had never resented his father. In his heart, his father would always be the most important person.

"All right, all right, let's not talk about such sad things. Let's talk about something interesting instead!"

Seeing that the atmosphere had become somewhat heavy, Bulma hurriedly changed the subject.

Next, Tights told Broly about some interesting things from around the universe, and Broly listened with great attention.

The two little ones played and tussled nearby, and a joyful atmosphere filled the surroundings.

Over on Beerus's side, Whis asked him, "Lord Beerus, what have you decided? An outstanding God of Destruction candidate like this is not easy to find!"

Beerus had not made up his mind yet, so he did not answer.

At that moment, Gogeta said from beside him, "Lord Beerus, if Broly becomes a God of Destruction candidate and you take him to spar in other universes, wouldn't that make you look very impressive?"

Beerus imagined the scene. Thinking of the other Gods of Destruction being humiliated, he beamed with delight and let out a "Heh heh heh" laugh.

Seeing Beerus grin like that, Gogeta knew it was settled.

And so, Broly became a God of Destruction candidate, while Paragus followed him to the God of Destruction Realm.

Some time after the Broly incident, Gogeta took his wife and daughter home. Tights had already gathered all the material she needed and could begin writing her novel.

After returning to his own timeline, Gogeta went to Planet Vampa and brought the Broly there and his father to Earth. That way, Goku and Vegeta would stop pestering him day after day. He could let Broly handle them instead. Although this Broly was still relatively young and not yet that powerful, he was more than capable of dealing with Goku and Vegeta.

At first, when Paragus saw Vegeta, he still wanted revenge. But then Vegeta said, "That King Vegeta guy had someone so powerful and still exiled him. He deserved to be killed by Frieza."

After that, Paragus gave up on revenge.

Broly and Paragus settled down on Earth.

Gogeta also released the Buu he had brought back from the first timeline. Dr. Brief said he could not research anything from it; the thing was too advanced. All he knew was that there were two energies inside, one righteous and one evil.

The moment Buu appeared, he demanded food. If he was not given any, he would go around destroying things. Only after Gogeta taught him a lesson did he behave himself. However, Tights thought Buu's chubby appearance was adorable. Whenever Buu misbehaved and Gogeta wanted to beat him up, Tights would stop him.

Thus, Buu clung to Tights. As long as he stayed by her side, Gogeta did not dare hit him.

Little Ais also liked Buu very much. Buu was soft all over, and whenever Tights and little Ais had nothing to do, they would lean against him. It was incredibly comfortable.

Buu also had the personality of a child, and he quickly began playing with little Ais. They spent every day fooling around together. Once, they even secretly hid Trunks away. Vegeta was so furious that he was about to beat the guy up, only for Buu to give him a thorough beating instead. Little Ais clapped and cheered from the side. In the end, Bulma had to call Tights over before Vegeta escaped disaster.

Then Buu spat Trunks out. It turned out Trunks had been playing hide-and-seek with Ais and Buu. Ais was "it," so Trunks hid inside Buu, and Buu hid himself away.

A long time passed without anyone finding Buu. Vegeta was the one who finally found him, but he thought Buu had kidnapped Trunks, so he attacked Buu. To his surprise, he had run into a tough opponent.

Sigh, poor Vegeta!!

After that, Vegeta trained even harder, swearing that one day he would get even.

Goku also heard that Vegeta had been beaten up, so he eagerly went to challenge Buu. However, Buu listened to Tights and would not attack casually unless it was an emergency.

Seeing that Buu refused to fight, Goku tempted him with cake. Unable to resist the temptation, Buu agreed to Goku's request. Of course, the result was predictable—Goku got brutally beaten and went to complain to Vegeta.

After that, Goku and Vegeta trained diligently and both broke through to Super Saiyan 3, preparing to wash away their humiliation with Buu. In the end, Gogeta stopped them.

Gohan, meanwhile, studied while training. Under Gogeta and Master Roshi's guidance, Gohan began cultivating his realm. Studying was Gohan's best form of training, and he spent more and more time reading. He was no longer limited to learning knowledge; Gohan read every book left behind by Earth's martial arts masters. Goku, however, felt that Gohan was wasting his time, but Gohan ignored him.
