As he entered the number, the Gravity Chamber activated instantly. An immense force of gravity immediately descended upon Roger.
Roger stood calmly in place as if nothing had happened.
"So this is twenty times gravity?"
Roger muttered to himself and raised the Gravity Chamber's gravity to fifty times.
Once the gravity had been raised to fifty times, Roger finally showed a slight reaction.
Right after that, he directly raised the Gravity Chamber to its maximum setting—one hundred times gravity.
"I see!"
As Roger felt the hundredfold gravity pressing down on him, he seemed to realize something and entered a state of enlightenment.
Who knew how much time had passed? It was only when Bulma's voice came from outside the Gravity Chamber that Roger awakened from his state of enlightenment.
"Time to eat, Roger!"
Bulma shouted loudly from outside the Gravity Chamber.
Hearing Bulma's voice, Roger immediately returned the Gravity Chamber's gravity to zero and walked out.
When Bulma saw Roger emerge, she immediately walked over somewhat angrily.
"Roger, I called you just now. Why didn't you answer me?"
"It was too noisy inside. I didn't hear you!"
"Is that so? Then shall we go eat?"
"Is it already noon?"
"Yeah. Oh, right, Roger, didn't you promise that once I grew up, you'd take me to look for the Dragon Balls?"
Roger nodded.
"Then I'm grown up now. When will you take me to find the Dragon Balls?"
"But you're only fourteen!"
"Fourteen should still count as a minor!"
Roger smiled.
"Hmph!"
Bulma snorted coldly.
"But I'm taller than you!"
"Is that so?"
Upon hearing that, Roger's body immediately grew larger, becoming over two meters tall in an instant.
Though his body had grown bigger, he still looked like a child.
This was Giantification, which Roger had learned from the Yardratians.
"Ro... Roger, what's going on? How did your body become so big?"
Hearing that, Roger immediately returned his body to normal.
"This is called Giantification!"
"Giantification?"
"That's right!"
"Is this martial arts too?"
"More or less!"
"Then when will you take me to look for the Dragon Balls?"
"In two years?"
"Mm!"
Roger nodded.
"Then it's a deal between us. You can't go back on your word!"
"Alright!"
That afternoon, after waking from his nap, Roger returned to the Gravity Chamber to train.
That morning, under the gravity he had applied in the Gravity Chamber, Roger had comprehended some Gravity Law.
However, with noon approaching and Bulma interrupting him, he had awakened from his state of enlightenment.
So that afternoon, Roger planned to continue contemplating the Law of Time.
In the blink of an eye, a week passed.
Over the course of this week, Roger finally comprehended the complete Gravity Law.
North Kai's Planet.
King Kai was lying leisurely on a recliner, asleep, when a figure suddenly appeared before him.
It was Roger.
"King Kai!"
Roger called out to King Kai.
King Kai immediately woke up, rubbing his eyes as he said, "Oh, isn't this Roger? Roger, what brings you here?"
Roger smiled.
"King Kai, I have something I'd like your help with!"
"What is it?"
"I want someone to train here with you!"
"Train? Who?"
"His name is Son Goku. He's a Saiyan!"
"Son Goku? That doesn't sound like a Saiyan name."
"That's right, it's his Earth name. His Saiyan name is Kakarot!"
"An Earth name? Is he on Earth too?"
Roger nodded.
"Roger, are all you Saiyans on Earth now?"
"No, there are only the two of us right now!"
"Oh, then when will you bring him over?"
"In a moment!"
"How strong is he?"
"Only a few hundred battle power!"
"Only a few hundred?"
"Then, King Kai, I'll go bring him over now!"
"Mm!"
King Kai nodded.
A little while later, Roger brought Son Goku to North Kai's Planet.
"King Kai, this is Son Goku, the one I told you about. Goku, this is King Kai, the one I told you about!"
"King Kai!"
King Kai nodded.
"Then, King Kai, if there are no other issues, I'll leave Goku in your care!"
"Alright!"
And so, Son Goku remained on North Kai's Planet to train.
Time flew by, and in the blink of an eye, a year and a half had passed.
After training on North Kai's Planet for a year and a half, Son Goku's strength had reached thirty thousand.
Because he had been away from Earth for too long, Son Goku planned to return to Earth today to visit Master Roshi and his grandfather.
"Then, King Kai, Bubbles, Gregory, I'll be heading back now?"
"Alright!"
"Grrr..."
The man and two pets nodded.
South Galaxy, on a blue planet.
Vegeta was currently leading Nappa and Raditz in invading the planet.
A figure suddenly appeared before the three of them.
It was Roger.
After a year and a half, Roger had grown to 1.75 meters tall.
"Who are you?"
Vegeta asked Roger warily.
"A Saiyan!"
Nappa, standing nearby, spoke when he spotted the tail behind Roger.
"What!"
Raditz was startled.
"Weren't the only surviving Saiyans us and Kakarot?"
"No, Raditz, have you forgotten there's one other person?"
Vegeta said with a grim expression.
"You mean..."
"That's right—the low-class warrior who escaped Planet Vegeta!"
"A low-class warrior!"
Roger immediately laughed when he heard that.
Though he had been born a low-class warrior, he was now so much stronger than them that the difference was beyond measure.
"Did I say something wrong?"
Vegeta smiled.
Though he had no idea how Roger had suddenly appeared, as the Saiyan prince, he naturally had every right to look down on him.
"That's right, I was indeed born a low-class warrior. But now, I only need one finger to wipe all of you out!"
"What did you say!"
Nappa was instantly enraged.
As a member of a prominent Saiyan family, he had never been looked down upon by a low-class Saiyan warrior.
Vegeta's expression turned serious at those words.
Though proud at heart, he had never been a reckless person.
Otherwise, he could never have survived under Frieza.
"Raditz, activate the scouter and check his power level!"
"Yes, Prince Vegeta!"
As Raditz spoke, he immediately activated the scouter over his left eye.
"Beep beep..."
"...5..."
"Power level... 5!"
Raditz froze when he saw the value displayed on the scouter.
No matter how weak a Saiyan was, an adult Saiyan's power level could not possibly be five.
And Roger had just been acting so arrogantly toward them.
