Background / History

Angoulême was a survivor of the White Wolf Hansa’s journey to find Ciri. She recalls traveling with Geralt, Milva, Regis, Cahir, and Dandelion through the war zone and spending a winter in Toussaint. By the end of the battle at Stygga Castle, only she and Geralt remained; the Hansa became central to her identity and faith. 205 250

She later became Victor Corleone’s most loyal companion in the Phantom Troupe. Before her mutation, she served as a capable but inexperienced human fighter, traveling with Victor, hunting monsters, assisting his alchemy work, and gradually learning the practical costs and ethical limits of witcher work. 31 54 451

In Novigrad, Angoulême took on the troupe’s errands and finances, delivered potions, procured alchemical materials, and conducted business with merchants and Vivaldi Bank. Her work and repeated monster hunts gave her a stronger sense of responsibility; she stopped selling aphrodisiacs under the troupe’s name. 130

Her defeat by a bruxa deeply affected her. Fearing age, weakness, and an ordinary life forced upon her, Angoulême asked Victor to prepare a Potion of the Grasses so she could become a witcher. 89 264 After delays caused by successive crises, she completed the Trial of the Grasses and emerged with mutated eyes known as the Byakugan. 365 449
