Background / History

The Jade Water Sect benefited from the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Sect's protection, cultivation resources, trade routes, and cooperative channels. When the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Sect lacked top experts and showed signs of decline, the Jade Water Sect joined other affiliated sects in demanding sixty percent of all cooperative profits, threatening to terminate cooperation if refused. 1 2

Its sect master openly admitted that the affiliated sects were exploiting the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Sect's weakened position. He proposed a contest between the younger generations: if the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Sect lost, the vassal sects would receive sixty percent of the profits. 1 2

During the confrontation, the Jade Water Sect Master repeatedly mocked Ning An and the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. Ning An responded by slapping the Soul Saint-level sect master twice, leaving him fearful of the young sect master. 2

The Jade Water Sect sent a representative, Big Yellow, alongside the other vassal sects' prodigies. After Ning An defeated all five challengers, the Jade Water Sect withdrew its demand for sixty percent and offered compensation, agreeing to retain only ten percent of the cooperative profits. 4 5

Ning An gave the Jade Water Sect an ultimatum: its Young Sect Master had to “disappear,” or the entire sect would be destroyed. The elder accepted the condition and took the unconscious Young Sect Master away to execute him. Although Ning An spared the sect for the moment, he ordered the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Sect to prepare for a future campaign against it. 21 22
