The Dark Gold Dreadclaw Bear was awarded to Ning An as a novice gift from the Nine Treasure Glory System while the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Sect faced an attempt by affiliated sects to seize sixty percent of its cooperative profits. Its acquisition gave Ning An a combat-oriented second martial soul alongside his auxiliary pagoda martial soul. 1

Ning An first revealed it during the sects' arena wager. Its oppressive aura and superior ring configuration overwhelmed five assault-type Great Soul Masters; Furious Bear Roar shattered their incoming soul skills, and Dark Gold Bear Stomp defeated all five at once. 4 The immense physical strain of using the martial soul's first two skills left Ning An severely injured and unconscious afterward. 5
