Background / History
Upbringing
Ning Tian grew up in the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Sect’s main family, surrounded by affection and privilege. She, Ning An, and Wu Feng played and cultivated together from childhood, developing a friendship in which they could speak freely. Before the journey to Shrek Academy, Ning Tian and her brother had never been separated for even half a day 7 9 29 30.
During the sect’s decline, its elders regarded Ning Tian and Ning An as the only two promising talents of their generation. Their support-type martial souls nevertheless left the elders doubtful that either could win a direct confrontation with combat soul masters 1 3.
Affiliated Sects’ Challenge
When affiliated sects demanded a larger share of the sect’s cooperative profits, Ning Tian entered the council hall and confronted their leaders. She cited the resources, trade routes, protection, and mediation her sect had provided, condemning their attempt to exploit its weakness 2.
She initially urged Ning An not to accept their wager and nearly rushed onto the arena when five assault-type opponents attacked him. After his victory, she caught him as he collapsed from the strain of his Dark Gold Dreadclaw Bear skills, stayed beside his bed, and fetched the physician when he awakened. Journey to Shrek Academy
Ning Tian feared being left behind after Ning An received a Shrek recommendation letter. He instead arranged for her to accompany him using the sect’s annual examination-free admission quota 7.
In the Star Dou Great Forest, she accompanied Ning An when he rescued Huo Yuhao and invited him into the sect. She later began learning the Nine Treasure Arts under her brother’s instruction. When Huo Yuhao cried after receiving help with his own admission, she offered him a clean brocade handkerchief and sincerely shared his happiness 8 9 11 15.
