Background / History

Wu Feng grew up alongside Ning An and Ning Tian in the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. The three shared a close childhood bond, freely speaking and cultivating together. Before Shrek Academy enrollment, Ning An instructed Wu Feng to leave the sect and obtain a recommendation letter from a major city through her own efforts; she succeeded and entered the academy. 29 30

After learning of Ning An's Shrek dormitory assignment through the public freshman registration list, she visited him with Ning Tian. Wu Feng initially remained quiet while Ning Tian spoke, apparently preparing to reveal something important. 29

Arrival at Shrek Academy

Wu Feng arrives at Shrek Academy after independently securing a main-city recommendation letter, then reunites with Ning An and Ning Tian at the freshmen dormitory. 29

Confession and Duel with Ning An

Wu Feng openly confesses that she likes Ning An and claims the condition he promised her for obtaining Shrek admission: she asks him to become her boyfriend. Ning An refuses, explaining that he does not like people weaker than himself. 30

Refusing to accept the rejection passively, Wu Feng challenges Ning An: if she can defeat him, he must agree. She enters the duel confident in her Rank 29 cultivation, but Ning An reveals his Rank 33 Soul Elder strength, Dark Gold Dreadclaw Bear martial soul, and soul bone skill. 30 31

Ning An defeats her with Rampage Bear Pierce, breaking through her defenses despite pulling back the attack. Rather than mock her, he helps her up, heals her with soul power, tells her that she is not weak but that he is simply too strong, and permits her to continue following in his footsteps. 31

Freshman Sparring and Battle with Dai Huabin

Following Ning An's direction to gain combat experience, Wu Feng spends a day and a half sparring across the freshman district. She defeats more than half the freshmen and markedly improves her technique and combat awareness. 32

Dai Huabin challenges her and dismisses her as a sect-supported Great Soul Master. Though initially overwhelmed by his Rank 32 Soul Elder cultivation and White Tiger martial soul, Wu Feng refuses to surrender and breaks through to Rank 30. Dai Huabin's third soul skill still defeats her before she can rise. 32
