The pirates carried the unconscious Gin before Rody.
"Wake him up."
The moment Gin woke, he saw Rody sitting in a large chair with Nami in his arms, while Captain Krieg's head lay beneath his foot.
"Cap... Captain..."
Gin looked at his captain's head being trampled beneath Rody's foot and cried out in pain.
"Rody, let him go," Nami said, unable to bear seeing Gin in such agony.
"Don't worry. I won't kill him."
Rody looked at Gin with a mocking smile. "Oh? You want it?"
"Give... give me the captain's head!" Gin cried desperately.
"I won't kill you, and I can even give you Krieg's corpse. But if you want his head..."
"Then become stronger. Come find me once you are strong enough and take his head back. Let me see your determination. Don't make me wait too long. Hahahaha..."
After laughing, he instructed Mike to put Krieg's head into a box, then had the ship's doctor take Gin away in a small boat.

"Lord Rody, we've finished taking stock of the Krieg Pirates' treasure," Mike reported.
"Yeah, Captain. As expected of a major pirate crew with nearly five thousand men, they had a lot of treasure—two hundred million Beli!" Windfire Wheel said excitedly.
Closing the system panel in his mind, Rody casually said, "Is that so? Then have those pirates hurry up and move it onto our ship."
"Yes, Captain."
Once the surrendered pirates had moved all the treasure from the Dreadnaught Sabre onto Rody's Four Hands, Rody waved a hand and severed their hamstrings. After using a Den Den Mushi seized from the ship to notify the nearby Marines, Rody continued sailing toward the Baratie.
Two days later, at the Baratie.
"Have you heard?"
"You mean that?"
"Yeah, that."
"Enough with the 'that, that.' What shameful thing is so unspeakable?" Bick said unhappily as he listened to his two companions whispering.
"It's about the destruction of the Krieg Pirates!"
"Yeah. The largest pirate crew in the East Blue, with a fleet of fifty ships and nearly five thousand pirates, was wiped out."
"Who did it? Was it the Marines?" Bick hurriedly asked.
"No. If the Marines could wipe them out, would they have become the largest pirate crew in the East Blue?"
"If it wasn't the Marines, then who was it?"
"It was Rody the Slaughterer, the highest-bounty pirate in the East Blue. Krieg encountered the Slaughterer at sea, and the Krieg Pirates were destroyed in an instant. Of the nearly five thousand men in the crew, fewer than a thousand survived, and all of the crew's treasure was taken by the Slaughterer.
The surviving pirates said that the sea had been dyed red with blood. Their captain had even had his head cut off by the Slaughterer."
"This Slaughterer Rody is way too strong... and way too brutal!"
"Yeah, too brutal. Good thing we didn't run into him at sea," Bick said with feeling.
"If we had, we'd be finished."
"Yeah, yeah. Better never run into him."
Just as the diners in the restaurant were discussing it, Rody pushed open the doors of the Baratie and walked in with Nami and the others.
"Hey, why aren't you eating? The food here is so delicious."
Seeing his two companions holding their dinner knives, eyes wide and bodies trembling, Bick asked in confusion.
At that moment, the diners who had been chatting suddenly fell silent.
Bick also sensed that something was wrong in the restaurant. He turned and followed his companions' gazes.
That hair color, those distinctive markings on his face... the Slaughterer Rody they had just been talking about had appeared in the restaurant. Bick finally understood why the restaurant had suddenly gone quiet.
"Ah, it's the Slaughterer!"
"Quick, run!"
"If we don't run, we'll be killed!"
The quiet restaurant was shattered by the panicked shout of a fleeing diner, and the other diners also rushed out of the restaurant in terror.
"Don't run! You haven't paid yet!" the restaurant's chefs hurriedly shouted as the diners fled in panic.
Rody paid no attention to the panicked passengers. He simply found an empty seat nearby and sat down, pulling Nami beside him onto his lap. Lively by nature, Nami liked sitting on Rody's lap as well.
Once most of the diners had fled the restaurant, two people emerged from the kitchen. One wore a chef's uniform and a tall chef's hat, his beard combed into two long braids. His broken right leg was fitted with a wooden prosthetic. Beside him stood a blond man with curled eyebrows, smoking a cigarette and dressed in a black suit.
These two were Red-Leg Zeff, head chef of the sea restaurant Baratie, and Sanji, the sous-chef. Zeff had once been a pirate who roamed the Grand Line. Later, after returning to the East Blue, he encountered Sanji while raiding a passenger ship. Seeing his former self in Sanji, he leaped into the sea to save him without hesitation. While diving beneath the surface to rescue Sanji, his right leg became trapped in debris, forcing him to cut it off to survive. In the original manga, he had smashed off his leg on a deserted island to stave off hunger.
"May I ask why a strong man like you has come here?"
"If you're here to dine, then Baratie welcomes all guests."
"But if you're here to rob us, then please leave. You are not welcome here." Zeff stared solemnly at Rody, while Sanji beside him smoked in silence.
Carmen, seated beside Rody, was staring excitedly at Sanji. But since Rody had yet to speak, she could only remain quiet.
"Tch. Red-Leg Zeff, the pirate who once roamed the Grand Line—now not only is the leg you were so proud of gone, but you're running a restaurant in the East Blue. How amusing."
"Old man," Sanji muttered almost inaudibly.
"The head chef used to be a pirate?"
"And he was even a pirate who entered the Grand Line and returned safely?" the restaurant's chefs murmured among themselves.
"No matter what the head chef used to be, he's now only the head chef of our sea restaurant Baratie," said a chef who looked like Popeye.
"That's right. No matter what Boss Zeff used to be, he's now only our boss and head chef," said Carne, who wore sunglasses and looked more like a gangster than a cook.
"Those are all matters of the past. Surely you didn't come looking for me just because I was once a pirate, did you?"
"Of course not. I have no interest in whether you used to be a pirate, because you're not the one I came looking for." Rody gestured for Carmen to speak.
Carmen looked at Sanji and immediately stood up. "Sanji, long time no see."
Sanji looked utterly confused. "Miss, have we met somewhere before?"
"I came to challenge you in cooking." As she spoke, Carmen called over her apprentices, Leo and Jose, and launched into another spinning introduction.
"What? So you're just here for a cooking competition?"
"Yeah, that's great. It's only a cooking competition." The chefs in the restaurant, along with Zeff, breathed a sigh of relief.
Sanji also relaxed. When it came to cooking, he was extremely confident.
With a helpless look, Rody had Leo and Jose wake Carmen, who had spun herself dizzy. Looking at the relaxed Sanji, Rody smiled. "If the food you make fails to satisfy me, I'll cut off Head Chef Zeff's other good leg!"
