Luo Ze moved quickly—when he said he was leaving, he left. Before Monya could process his words, Luo Ze had already vanished from sight.
Watching Luo Ze disappear into the distance, Monya's expression turned grim. She stared coldly ahead and curled her lip. "If something happens, I'm not taking responsibility for it. That bastard!"
She stomped the ground and raced after him. She did not know whether Luo Ze could defeat Killer, but she was confident that, if Luo Ze created a distraction, she could rescue Yulis's granddaughter right under their noses.
Tap, tap!
The two quickly leaped onto Killer's pirate ship. The moment they boarded, they drew the attention of Killer and the others.
Everyone gave them a cold glance, set down their wine cups, and drew their weapons.
Killer wore a blue-striped mask, making it impossible to read his expression. But judging from the two scythes in his hands, he was clearly angry as well.
"I won't be fighting." Monya curled her lip at Luo Ze. She was only responsible for saving the girl; whether Luo Ze lived or died had nothing to do with her.
"Do as you please." Luo Ze casually glanced at Monya, drew his longsword, and looked indifferently at Killer and the others, unconcerned by her decision.
"Hmph!" Monya gritted her teeth in anger. Luo Ze's dismissive attitude toward her made her extremely unhappy.
"I don't know who you are, but you should die all the same!" Killer cast a faint glance at Monya behind Luo Ze, killing intent rising in his heart.
He was a man of few words. Anyone else in his position might have exchanged a few words with Luo Ze first, but Killer had no such interest. He drew his scythes and charged straight at Luo Ze.
He was incredibly fast. The scythes he had drawn spun rapidly in his hands like discs capable of slicing through anything.
"It's here—Brother Killer's scythe attack!" Seeing Killer use his killing move right away, the pirates behind him cried out.
There was one advantage to working under Killer: he liked to fight himself. Other pirates always liked to send their subordinates to their deaths before a battle, using them to flaunt their noble status.
But Killer was clearly different. Whenever he could fight himself, he never relied on his subordinates. Being Killer's subordinate was therefore quite fortunate—at the very least, their lives tended to last much longer than those of other pirate grunts.
"Killer, with a bounty of seventy million Berries..."
Luo Ze glanced calmly at Killer and muttered unhurriedly to himself.
Ever since causing a huge disturbance at the Marine branch, Luo Ze had been idle for half a month.
It was about time to stretch his muscles.
He just did not know whether this future Supernova could give him a satisfying fight.
Luo Ze chuckled. Without using any particular technique, he casually raised his hand and flicked his longsword, slashing swiftly toward Killer.
"So fast!"
Killer was forced to stop. Luo Ze's sword was so fast that he could only see a faint afterimage. If he continued his high-speed attack under such circumstances, he might be carelessly cut in half.
Thus, Killer had no choice but to halt. After carefully tracking Luo Ze's blade, he swung one scythe out to meet it.
Clang!
Killer's scythe collided with Luo Ze's longsword with a violent crash. Killer had originally planned to use one scythe to block Luo Ze's attack, then launch a surprise strike with the other.
But he had not expected Luo Ze's sword to be so heavy.
When Luo Ze's blade came down, Killer felt as if a massive boulder were pressing down on his scythe, as heavy as Mount Tai.
He had no choice but to bring up his other scythe as well and use all his strength to resist.
Even so, Killer was pressed to the deck by Luo Ze's sword despite using all his strength. His legs bent slightly under the immense pressure, and the soles of his shoes sank completely into the wooden planks of the pirate ship.
"He's actually this strong?" Monya's eyelids suddenly twitched.
She had lost to Luo Ze earlier because of his speed, so she had once assumed that speed was his only advantage. She had never expected his strength to be so terrifying as well.
What a frightening guy!
Monya felt as though she had come to know Luo Ze all over again. This guy was far stronger than she had imagined.
"Save her first."
She quickly withdrew her gaze. How strong Luo Ze was had little to do with her. Saving the girl was what mattered most.
"Brother Killer is actually being suppressed!"
The pirates nearby were also stunned. It was their first time seeing Killer suppressed by someone other than Kid.
"Let's go help him!"
The pirate grunts suddenly let out a roar. No one knew who started it, but soon a large crowd of pirates drew their swords and charged at Luo Ze.
"Boring. Is a rookie with a seventy-million-Berry bounty really only this capable?"
Luo Ze looked at Killer with disappointment. At this level, Killer was not qualified to make Luo Ze exert himself. He was not even enough for a warm-up.
"Don't look down on me!" Killer roared furiously. It was the first time anyone had looked down on him like this.
"Let's end this. You don't even have what it takes to help me pass the time."
Luo Ze shook his head. Killer was ultimately just a rookie from the South Blue. Not to mention a commodore, he was at most around the level of a captain.
Blood Sword Form.
Luo Ze spoke calmly. Then his right hand suddenly exerted force, and he swung his longsword down viciously, sending a blood-red slash crashing onto Killer's weapons.
Clang! Clang! Sizzle!
Luo Ze's slash was immensely powerful. It scraped against Killer's scythes for only a second before both scythes snapped directly into four pieces.
The red slash shattered Killer's scythe, but it did not stop. It continued forward, cutting Killer's body cleanly in two.
Bright red blood sprayed out in an instant, carrying a pungent, bloody stench. All life left Killer's body, and he died on the spot.
"You lot can go too."
Having killed Killer with a single slash, Luo Ze did not feel the slightest bit satisfied. He casually shifted his gaze and swung his sword again, sending out another red slash that massacred all the pirate soldiers.
An even thicker stench of blood rose from the pirates' corpses. The entire pirate ship was drenched in blood, the smell unbearably pungent.
"This... how is that possible?"
Both Monya and the girl were terrified by the scene before them.
Monya was better off. She was a pirate hunter herself, not some innocent girl who had never killed anyone. She was merely astonished by Luo Ze's strength and the way he killed.
But the girl was different. She was young and had never seen such a bloody scene before.
At the sight of all that blood, her face turned deathly pale, and she fainted on the spot.
Luo Ze swiftly searched Killer's body with both hands, then quickly withdrew them.
When he pulled his hand back, there was a white piece of paper in it. It was likely Kid's Life Card.
Luo Ze slipped the Life Card into his pocket, turned, and left. As he departed, he left behind only one sentence.
"I've done what I promised the old craftsman. In three days, I'll come collect the ship."
Monya held the girl blankly in her arms, murmuring to herself as she looked at the corpses before her.
"It looks like we need to get Mr. Yulis to finish that ship as soon as possible once we get back. That madman is not someone we can afford to provoke."
After witnessing Luo Ze's strength and methods, Monya had completely reassessed him in her heart.
He was a madman—a powerful madman with cruel methods.
