The Storm Domain pressed steadily downward in full force. A bitter storm raged across the sky, lightning flashing through it, creating a terrifying sight.
At both ends of the gorge, in the sky, on the ground, and within the river, numerous Magic Beasts had gathered, waiting to charge into the gorge.
Dole's voice reached the construction crews' ears. "Don't worry. You can take a break. Their target is the road, not you. The City Lord's Manor cannot guarantee everyone's safety elsewhere, but inside the gorge, you are absolutely safe."
The sky had now completely darkened, filled with a storm formed from layer upon layer of frenzied clouds. It blotted out heaven and earth as lightning flickered within it, while above the distant North Plains Mountain Range, something also seemed to be brewing.
Dragon Bat's expression was incomparably grim. He glanced to either side and silently muttered, Begin.
Countless Magic Beasts charged down from the mountain range—through the sky, over the ground, and out of the river. Third level, fourth level, fifth level, even sixth level—all of them rushed into the gorge as though a charge horn had sounded. At the same time, great swathes of magical light spewed from the Magic Beasts' mouths and shot toward the storm in the sky. They were declaring war on Dole.
As if in answer, bolts of lightning flashed within the storm controlled by Dole and flew to meet the Magic Beasts.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The battle began once more, only this time it was larger in scale and broader in scope. Lightning and the Magic Beasts' breaths shot at one another like rain, exploding into even more terrifying blasts and even more horrifying cries.
