Dole observed carefully, continuously driving the Storm Domain. Water vapor rubbed against the wind, producing tiny charged particles. The particles constantly gathered, forming increasingly powerful flashes of lightning that wound their way through the storm before finally converging in the north of the Storm Domain.
Dole found those faint sparks and weak currents remarkably novel.
Lightning might be the easiest—and the hardest—power in the world to obtain and control. At its easiest, even rough clothing could generate static through friction. Yet it was also among the most difficult powers to control; the path of lightning and the control of lightning were far, far harder than those of other elements.
Thunder and lightning were actually one kind of power. Electricity passed through the void and struck the air, producing the rumbling sound of thunder. That was the thunder and lightning known to the world. In truth, they were one and the same: electricity.
Dole gained some insight. He raised a hand, and a Lightning Summoning Spell naturally brewed within it. A fierce mass of lightning gathered from all directions, released from his meditation method and condensed in his hand, forming a sphere of lightning.
He merely glanced at the lightning sphere before it exploded violently in his hand.
Boom.
Dole's entire body jolted from the electric shock, every strand of hair standing on end. Yet he closed his eyes in enjoyment. At the same time, a strange rhythm continuously emerged and vanished around him, as though something peculiar were taking shape.
He cultivated the Storm Meditation Method and possessed fragments of wind-type rules, so he had assumed that the rules he would comprehend would certainly be wind or water. He had not expected the first rule he sensed to be lightning.
Dole was not yet level seven, but at this moment,
