Dole had long since mastered the core runes of these elemental Wizard Towers. Every core rune array was, in truth, a kind of rule. Though Dole now wore the shell of the Storm Meditation Method, he had in fact touched upon the rules of all nine major elements. Or rather, given enough time, he could master them. Even the eighth and ninth levels were not difficult—the difficult part was that he did not have much time.
Nightmare Patriarch had never given up on infiltrating Albis City or Dole's sphere of influence. It was endlessly vexing. Moreover, Nightmare Patriarch's reach had recently stretched far indeed, beginning to encroach upon the eighth level. That gave Dole a sense of urgency, and was precisely why he had deliberately promoted the Wizards.
Once he finished with these Wizard Towers, he would begin upgrading the Duling Bone Tower and Babel Tower. Only after these two Wizard Towers reached the eighth level would he no longer fear ordinary eighth-level opponents.
At the eighth level, one had mastered at least three rules. Beyond the eighth level, one could embark upon the path of a law. Dole did not care much about seventh-level opponents, but he could not afford to overlook the eighth level.
When two rules were added together, their power was not one plus one—it was one plus one equaling eleven. It was extraordinarily exaggerated. For instance, combining earth and fire could unleash one thousand percent of their power, leaping directly from disaster-grade to terror-grade. What had originally been an eruption on the scale of a single volcano would, upon reaching the eighth level, immediately become the spectacle of countless volcanoes erupting. That was true terror.
