Lin Tianyu served as the Peak Master of Pagoda Peak within the Yellow Mountain Sword Sect. Pagoda Peak was closely tied to the sect's Trial Tower, and Lin was renowned as a gifted sword cultivator despite frequently entering seclusion and being rumored to have little time for disciples. 76

Following Qin Huaian's achievements in the Supreme Purity Domain, Lin accepted him as a personal disciple. Qin chose Pagoda Peak despite interest from several other peaks, and Lin immediately provided him a mid-grade spirit-artifact flying sword. 77

Lin later entered seclusion after gaining insights toward a higher realm. He successfully reached Spirit Transformation, becoming one of the Cultivation World's outstanding prodigies for achieving the breakthrough before age three hundred. 112 121
