The Luo River World is organized into 360 major domains, each centered on a vast continent and surrounded by sea islands 470. The continents are so far apart that ordinary long-distance flight is impractical even for extremely powerful immortals 470. The Violet Thorn Domain, long absent from accounts of those 360 domains, was subsequently linked to them by void passages 448 792 820.

The Boundless Sea surrounds and separates the major domains. Its distances are extreme enough that a route to the Luo River Domain could take more than 300 years by Flying Boat from one sea location 464.

Void passages are ancient shortcuts between distant regions, reducing travel distance by a hundredfold or even a thousandfold depending on the passage 470.

The long-fixed network changed when spatial grand formations dispersed and revealed passages connecting the other major domains to the Violet Thorn Domain 787 820. Passages between major worlds are a separate matter: according to the Celestial Balance Immortal Palace's artifact spirit, major worlds have designated exits that require sufficient cultivation, while someone strong enough can tear through the void 704. Senior Turtle says the Luo River World's passage toward the Primordial Ancient Continent is anomalous and cannot be detected by ordinary means; departure by exceeding the world's power limit instead risks being cast into a random location in the void 880 882.

History

Isolation of Violet Thorn Domain

Qin Huaian initially treats the Violet Thorn Domain as possibly isolated from the Luo River World because no other major domains seem to have heard of it 510. He speculates it may have been concealed by a grand formation, similar to the Kun Yuan World, explaining why those who left could not return 510.

Accounts from the other domains lacked records of the Violet Thorn Domain, while surviving records on the original Violet Thorn Continent likewise gave little indication of the other domains 448 792.

Reemergence of the Violet Thorn Domain

The Violet Thorn Domain later becomes central to the Luo River World's transformation. It is revealed to possess 360 void passages; although 359 are initially sealed, they are believed to lead to the other 359 major domains 804.

Rumors spread that the present Luo River World was once called the Violet Thorn Great World, with the Violet Thorn Domain as its center 798 804. This belief gains traction because:

• The Violet Thorn Domain has void passages to every major domain 804.
• It is the only known place where the laws are without flaw at that time 804.
• Experts from across the Luo River World gather there, causing Luo River Domain's central status to fade 804.

The name later gains wider use, including among experts who received inheritances from Daoist Cloudwatcher's cave abode 872. Its use does not settle the political contest over which domain should be considered the world's center 804.

Completion of Laws Across the World

Half a year before Qin Huaian receives Wei Hong's report, spatial grand formations in the other 359 major domains disperse simultaneously, each revealing a void passage to the Violet Thorn Domain 820. When these passages appear, the laws of heaven and earth throughout every major domain in the Luo River World are replenished to completion 820.

At the same time, spiritual energy concentration in both the Violet Thorn Domain and the other major domains begins gradually rising 820. Previously, the world's incomplete laws had prevented cultivators from fully comprehending a law and advancing normally to the Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal realm; some peak Immortal Venerables had instead attempted Dao Fusion with incomplete laws 654 747 763. Following the changes, cultivators including Lingxiao Ke advance to the Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal realm 812.

Chaotic Sea Region's Transformation

The Chaotic Sea Region undergoes a major change when its continents and large islands connect to a newly emerged secret realm world 869. Star Pavilion intelligence reports that the region forms into one vast continent centered on that secret realm world 869.

• The combined area of all Chaotic Sea Region continents was already greater than Luo River Continent 869.
• After merging with the secret realm world, the new landmass becomes slightly larger than the Violet Thorn Continent 869.
• The Kun Yuan Dao Repository Stele subsequently appears on the new continent near the Central Fire Sea. Its earthen-yellow light spreads across the land, marking the awakening of the continent's earth dragon vein 871 872.

Further World Changes

After the stele's arrival, observers report more stable space, shorter teleportation distances, easier comprehension of spatial laws, and a slight further rise in spiritual-energy density 873. The Violet Thorn Great World's continuing transformation is also associated with the Earth Ancestral Dragon Vein merging with it, strengthening spiritual energy, Earth Vein Power, and the Dao essence of central regions 1010.

Senior Turtle explains that the Great Thousand Worlds, including the Luo River World, originated from fragments of the Primordial Ancient Continent broken off during an ancient war 876. The connection to that continent remains difficult to traverse: he describes the Luo River World's spatial passage as anomalous and undetectable, and says entry to the Primordial Ancient Continent ordinarily requires exceptional power or a World-Breaking Talisman 880.
