Whatever doubts and hopes he harbored, he had to set them aside for now, enjoy Aisijin's punch to the head, and get a good night's sleep.

Besides, Ruger knew that when he woke again, a lavish meal, far larger than usual, would be waiting for him.
That made his sleep all the sweeter.
He even treated the occasional tremors in the space as a rhythm lulling him to sleep. After growing accustomed to them over the past few days, he could now accept them naturally. Of course, not everything could be so perfect. That strange force, gradually penetrating the spatial walls and constantly affecting him, was making his stable mental power space heat up without pause, calling to him. And he believed that calling to believers was only one aspect of that force.
Before falling asleep, Ruger had sensed that this might be his last chance to sleep for a while, so he treasured it all the more, even enlisting Aisijin's strength.
