Chapter 459: Balls and Tea
Ruger took out another piece of freshly roasted meat from Aisijin. During this time, some specialty ingredients from the Fairy Kingdom newly brought into the Bedroom Space, along with the Mouse Boss's dishes, had kept the two kobolds in a state of bursting inspiration. They often experimented with new dishes, and every time, they would save a portion for him to taste when he rested.
As he took small bites and savored the flavor, he noticed that Mahama seemed to be playing around, perhaps trying something out. This battle was probably something the Big Guy had been longing for as well. Daring to experiment so boldly now showed that Mahama had great confidence in Wizard Zorn—and even in him, this kobold. It also showed that the fellow was truly eager to advance.
Ruger nodded, carved three marks into the wooden skewer holding the roast meat, then sent it back into the Bedroom Space.
That was the scoring system.
The three kobolds had already agreed on it.
One mark meant tasty, two meant very tasty, and three meant exceptionally tasty.
Ruger curled his lip. He figured only the three kobolds could understand such a rating system, and only Aisijin and Big Silly Hum could have come up with it.
After a simple meal, a cup of hot tea was indispensable. Aisijin and Big Silly Hum knew of this habit of his—or rather, the two kobolds had developed the same habit themselves.
Ruger took out the tea Aisijin had poured from the Bedroom Space, sat cross-legged atop the mushroom cap, and looked toward Varin.
This tall female wizard apprentice normally spoke in a soft, gentle voice.
It was also Ruger's first time seeing her fight with all her strength.
Zorn had said that Wizard Jillian was not
