While Ruger turned the pages in rapt concentration, Tuzel slept soundly and snored. While Ruger savored mouthfuls of delicious food, his cheeks bulging, Tuzel drooled and snored. While Ruger gently blew across his cup and sipped his hot after-meal tea, Tuzel kept snoring, sleepily pulling over one of his ears to wipe away his drool. When Ruger rose to leave, Tuzel rolled over and began drooling from the other corner of his mouth.
Ruger stretched, lavishly praising Serious Mouse's cooking.
He pushed open the door and stepped outside. In the mere dozen or so days since he had last seen it, the Bedroom Space had grown even more lush.
This was exactly what Ruger wanted to see. In his original plan, he would have had to wait for the right opportunity, until he grew stronger, before starting to look for suitable ways to bring this place to life. He had never expected it to already be taking on the appearance he had once dreamed of.
It put him in a wonderful mood, just like the plump mouse who had just been praised.
He took two steps, then stopped and closed his eyes.
The contours of the Bedroom Space flashed through his mind. Just as he had previously sensed the cracks in the Bedroom Space under immense pressure, he once again tried to resonate with it.
His eyes remained closed, a smile on his lips.
As the master of this space, he could clearly sense that the Bedroom Space was becoming more stable and substantial. Beyond these subtle changes, though, the most important difference was a sense of vitality, something it had never possessed before, something that made anyone who saw it feel at ease.
It was brimming with life.
