This was the Wizard organization mentioned in the documents on the Fur Shepherd Ascension Ritual, an organization that seemed like a joke, and the birthplace of the ritual itself.

But there was another important issue: Ruger had obtained all of this through that door. The so-called glimpse into the Knowledge World, the Fur Shepherd Ascension Ritual, and the related knowledge of cultivating spirit furs had all come from there. They might therefore date back to a very, very distant past. The Fluffy Enthusiasts Association might merely have been founded on a whim by some amusing Wizard in a certain era. Such an odd organization might no longer exist.

It might even have been nothing more than a joke shared ten thousand years ago by a group of like-minded people over afternoon tea.

Ruger strolled along at his leisure, followed by a group of spirit furs working together to carry two baskets.

When he thought of those fluffy enthusiasts, images rose unbidden in his mind: Wizards sitting together, as though at a regular gathering, with strange smiles on their faces.

He also imagined that an organization like this would be fundamentally different from other Wizard organizations, large and small. Aside from the behemoths affiliated with the Supreme Council, there were countless Wizard organizations of every size. Most Wizards preferred to walk alone, but there were always exceptions, and certain matters sometimes required them to gather. Regardless of size, what enabled such groups to take shape was naturally shared interests. In Ruger's view, however, the Fluffy Enthusiasts Association was more likely driven by a hobby.

That brought up a problem: things not driven by material interests were actually harder to judge.
