Wizard Jillian had used Discordant Power to let herself intrude on him so presumptuously, and that had piqued Ruger's curiosity. The Fluffy Enthusiasts Association had originally sounded like something someone had dreamed up on a whim over afternoon tea with a few friends. Yet after hearing this uninhibited version of Jillian describe it, it seemed to have become some secret organization hidden from the world, with a long history to boot-nothing like what he had imagined.
But that sudden little interruption had not disrupted Ruger's daily routine.
He went about his business as usual while waiting expectantly, wondering which would arrive first: Wizard Jillian's payment for their deal or the Fluffy Enthusiasts Association. Yet things in this world often worked out that way. As if by mutual agreement, both went quiet.
