With a mere thought, the spell sprang forth at his will, and his control over it had risen another level. He had also gained a different sense of what a fixed spell was. It had already merged with his mental power space and, in theory, touched the wizard's soul on some level, becoming something like an instinct. As time passed, the two would grow ever more closely entwined.

Previously, he had thought that completing the fixation meant the spell had fused well with him. But now, after his mental power had grown, he realized that the fusion had not been complete. Instead, it would gradually approach perfection as the wizard meditated, with every increase in mental power, large or small. He could also sense the ingenuity of the design.
