Tengen explained Kenjaku’s plan to evolve Japan’s population by assimilating them with Tengen, and warned that Kenjaku could use Angel’s technique to take over Xuan’s original body. The group then turned to freeing Satoru Gojo and began discussing the Culling Game.

• Tengen identified Xuan as the sorcerer who had tamed Mahoraga and warned that Kenjaku’s plan might be impossible to stop.
• Tengen asked what Xuan had done with his corpse, and Xuan said Mahoraga’s Dharma Wheel protected it from damage and decay.
• Tengen explained that Kenjaku could use cursed-tool techniques, including Angel’s ability, to bypass that protection and take Xuan’s body.
• Tengen described Kenjaku’s plan to use his barriers to assimilate Japan’s ordinary people with him and complete their evolution.

• Xuan gave Maki his cursed tool and showed her how to make its shadow take the shape of different weapons.
• Maki fought Ogi Zenin in the Cursed Storage, changing the tool into Playful Cloud and Dragon Bone to strike him.
• Maki counted her first hit and learned that each numbered strike released another layer of the tool’s power.

• Maki used Sukisa and Ogi’s Cursed Energy longsword to discover how he concealed his attacks, then changed her weapon into a scythe and wounded him.

• Naoya attacked Maki out of jealousy, but she blocked his Projection Sorcery and wounded him with Caduceus and Playful Cloud.
• Maki overwhelmed Naoya with a series of transformed weapons, struck him unconscious, and prepared to finish him before Xuan stopped her.
• Xuan healed Naobito with Round Deer and demanded that the Zenin Clan yield its leadership to Megumi Fushiguro, disband the Kukuru Unit, and abandon its discriminatory theory.

At the Kamo Clan’s Cursed Storage, Kenjaku found Xuan’s corpse and tried to use Idle Transfiguration on it, but Mahoraga’s adaptation began resisting the technique.

• Yuta Okkotsu reached Honshu, while Yuji Itadori and Megumi Fushiguro confirmed Kinji Hakari’s location and trained under Xuan’s guidance.

• Yuta contacted Xuan, Itadori, and Fushiguro through the communicator and asked them to identify high-scoring Sendai Colony players.
• Itadori’s Kogane found Dhruv Lakdawalla with 50 points, Ryu Ishigori with 76, and Uro Takako with 65.
• Fushiguro proposed moving civilians to Sendai Colony and adding a rule that allowed players to transfer points, and Yuta agreed to help carry out the plan.

• Xuan summoned Mahoraga and trapped it in his Domain, then attacked with slashes, Chaos, and close-range strikes as its Dharma Wheel adapted.
• Mahoraga grew enormous, adapted to Xuan’s Domain and attacks, and used a cursed slash to cut off Xuan’s left hand before Xuan regenerated it.

• Fushiguro used Chimera Shadow Garden to hide from Hakari and sink him into the Shadow Sea, but Hakari pulled himself free.
• Fushiguro used shadow doubles, Nue, and Divine Dog to land several attacks on Hakari, who healed his wounds with Reverse Cursed Technique.
