Chapters 51–75 Vol. 1 Read

Ch. 51Collapse

Gen confronted Sukuna after returning to the battlefield and fought him inside their overlapping domains. Their domains collapsed simultaneously as they traded blows, leaving the fight unresolved.

  • Gen dodged Sukuna's slashes and challenged him while their open-barrier domains overlapped.
  • Sukuna attacked after Gen taunted him, and Gen drove him through buildings and a wire fence with a series of blows.
  • Sukuna figured out Gen's shadow-based intangibility and blanketed the area around Malevolent Shrine with slashes.
  • Gen healed from the slashes and charged into the shrine, where he and Sukuna exchanged punches.
  • Gen and Sukuna's domains collapsed at the same time.

Ch. 52Fist Fighting Battle

Gen and Sukuna fought on after their domains collapsed, trading blows and recovering from devastating injuries as their cursed techniques returned. Just as they prepared to unleash their strongest attacks, Itadori regained control of Sukuna’s body, and Gen promised to face Sukuna again.

  • Gen and Sukuna’s open-barrier domains collided and collapsed, leaving both fighters in technique burnout.
  • Gen and Sukuna exchanged a fierce series of close-range attacks, with Gen briefly tearing off his own lower leg to turn Sukuna’s grip into an opening for a kick.
  • Gen’s technique recovered, and he attacked Sukuna with Dragon Bone and Repulsion as Sukuna’s technique also returned; they then traded nearly fatal slashes and healed themselves with Reverse Cursed Technique.
  • Gen and Sukuna collided with Black Flashes, creating a massive crater and blowing apart half of each of their bodies before they regenerated.
  • Sukuna began gathering flames for a powerful attack, but Itadori regained control; Gen dispersed his own attack and told Sukuna he would be waiting for their next fight.

Ch. 53Kenjaku

Gen met Kenjaku in ancient times and agreed to help her plan to assimilate Japan’s population through Tengen’s barriers, hoping to witness the resulting cursed spirit. After his battle with Sukuna, Xuan headed across the sea to the United States for a vacation.

  • Gen recognized Kenjaku and listened as she described her plan to merge everyone through Tengen’s barriers and create a vast cursed spirit.
  • Kenjaku asked Gen for a finger and his help keeping the Culling Game going, and Gen agreed under a binding vow.
  • Gen told Kenjaku to keep the Double Serpent Staff safe and urged her to complete the plan before the staff pierced his brain and he died.
  • The next morning, Xuan left the others behind after fighting Sukuna and traveled over the sea toward the United States.

Ch. 54Restraint

Xuan tracked Kenjaku to the White House and checked that their binding vow remained intact. After Uraume attacked him over his supposed fight with Sukuna, Xuan blasted Uraume out of the building.

  • Xuan bought a taco, followed Kenjaku’s scent to the White House, and entered after Kenjaku vouched for him.
  • Xuan and Kenjaku discussed the Culling Game, Sukuna’s remaining fingers, and the location of Xuan’s body while Xuan confirmed their binding was still in effect.
  • Uraume recognized Xuan as Zenin Xuan and attacked him over his supposed tie with Sukuna.
  • Xuan sent Uraume flying out of the White House and crashing onto the lawn.

Ch. 55"The Migrators" Part One

Xuan defeated Uraume at the White House, while Kenjaku recovered her reincarnation cursed object and coordinated with the president. Meanwhile, the Jujutsu High group began evacuating people from the colonies, and Megumi entered Tokyo No. 1 Colony, where he killed two hostile players.

  • Xuan struck Uraume with chaos, leaving her incapacitated, and Kenjaku retrieved the cursed object from her chest.
  • Kenjaku regenerated his right hand, spoke with the president, and agreed to leave the response to him.

Ch. 56"The Migrators" Part Two

Itadori and Fushiguro separately searched for Hiromi Higuruma after being scattered across their colonies. Itadori learned Higuruma was in Ikebukuro and was challenged by Reggie, who questioned whether he was connected to Kenjaku.

  • Itadori found that Fushiguro was missing and could not reach him or the others through his earpiece.
  • Itadori followed cursed energy traces to an apartment building, where Reggie told him Higuruma was in Ikebukuro.

Ch. 57"The Migrators" Part 3

Kenjaku failed to find a way past Mahoraga’s Mark on Gen’s corpse, while Uraume resolved to seek Sukuna and asked for one of his fingers. Elsewhere, Itadori overwhelmed Reggie in their duel, and Reggie prepared one final move as Itadori charged.

  • Kenjaku examined Gen’s corpse and concluded that Mahoraga’s Mark had adapted to every method he could use to damage it or switch bodies.
  • Uraume restored their original form, rejected Kenjaku’s warning about provoking Gen, and asked to eat one of Sukuna’s fingers.
  • Itadori battered Reggie through walls and shattered the knives, piano, car, and trucks Reggie created with Contractual Re-Creation.
  • Reggie dropped an upside-down house on Itadori, but Itadori caught it and tossed it aside.

Ch. 58"The Migrators" Part 4

Xuan considered how to prepare for a possible fight with Satoru Gojo, while Yuta defeated Kurourushi and fought Ryu Ishigori in the Sendai Colony. Yuta’s new rule allowing players to transfer points was announced as the battle continued.

  • Xuan compared his abilities with Gojo and Sukuna, decided he needed a backup plan, and resolved to develop cursed energy extension techniques.
  • Yuta asked Dhruv to protect the civilians, then used Rika and Cursed Speech to defeat Kurourushi and earn five points.
  • Ryu Ishigori challenged Yuta to fight, and Yuta answered with sword strikes, Cursed Speech, and Rika’s assistance.
  • Yuta attacked Ryu with a gauntlet while he tried to counter with Cursed Energy Discharge.
  • Ryu’s Kogane announced that General Rule Twelve had been added, allowing players to transfer points to other players.

Ch. 59"The Migrators" Part 5

Yuta Okkotsu attacked Ryu Ishigori and Uro Takako after a new rule allowed players to transfer points, hoping to collect their points and leave the barrier. As Ryu and Uro continued fighting, Yuta summoned Rika to end the battle quickly.

  • Yuta learned that players could transfer points to one another and decided to take Ryu Ishigori's, Uro Takako's, and Dhruv's points.
  • Yuta used Cursed Speech and close-range attacks to fight Ryu and Uro, while the two opponents also attacked each other.
  • Ryu hurled Yuta through the air and destroyed her defensive cursed tool with Granité Blast.
  • Uro attacked Ryu through a hole in a building, and Yuta kissed her ring and summoned Rika.

Ch. 60"The Migrators" Part 6

Yuta Okkotsu joined the battle between Uro Takako and Ryu Ishigori, using Rika and his copied techniques to turn the fight against them. He knocked Uro down and pursued Ryu, ending the chapter with his sword swinging toward him.

  • Uro Takako blocked Ryu Ishigori's Cursed Energy blasts and demanded his points, until Yuta Okkotsu arrived and kicked her into a building while Rika threw Ryu away.
  • Yuta tried to negotiate with Uro, but she attacked him after asking whether he was from the Fujiwara Clan, blasting him through a building.
  • Yuta used Body Binding to rush back into the fight, and Rika struck Uro into Ryu, leaving Uro down and sending Ryu flying.
  • Yuta pursued Ryu, clapped to make Ryu's punch hit Rika instead, then drew his cursed-energy-wreathed sword and swung at him.

Ch. 61"The Migrators" Part 7

Yuta Okkotsu battled Ryu Ishigori with Rika's help while trying to persuade Uro Takako to join him. After Uro unleashed a devastating attack and Ryu returned to the fight, Yuta sent Rika to hold Ryu back as he faced Uro.

  • Yuta and Rika coordinated attacks that wounded Ryu Ishigori, but Ryu chose to charge through their weapons and impaled Yuta along with himself.
  • Rika punched Ryu away, and Yuta healed his shoulder before reassuring her that he knew she had not meant to hurt him.
  • Uro Takako tore through the sky and unleashed a powerful attack that Rika blocked while protecting Yuta.
  • Uro accused Yuta of being a clan brat, and Yuta's thoughts revealed that he struggled to explain his family background without provoking her further.
  • Ryu Ishigori returned with a Granité Blast, and Uro deflected it as Yuta told Rika to hold Ryu back while he faced Uro.

Ch. 62"The Migrators" Part 8

Okkotsu fought Uro Takako and Ryu Ishigori while Xuan warned him that something was approaching Tokyo’s barrier and offered a way to use Ten Shadows. As Rika’s manifestation neared its limit, all three sorcerers began Domain Expansion.

  • Rika battled Ryu Ishigori while Okkotsu tried to persuade Uro Takako to help him add a rule, but she attacked him.
  • Xuan connected through Okkotsu’s headset, warned that something was entering Tokyo’s barrier, and told him to have Rika eat his toe to gain limited access to Ten Shadows and use Mahoraga.
  • Okkotsu used his techniques to restrain Uro, switch places with her, and throw her toward Ryu, while their attacks damaged a building.
  • Okkotsu realized he needed to end the fight before Rika’s manifestation ended, but Ryu’s concealed attack sent Rika flying.
  • Okkotsu, Uro Takako, and Ryu Ishigori simultaneously began Domain Expansion.

Ch. 63"The Migrators" Part 9

Yuta Okkotsu defeated Kurourushi and Uro Takako, then used a copied version of Uro’s technique and Ryu Ishigori’s own Granite Blast to win their battle. Ryu fell satisfied after telling Yuta he was full.

  • Yuta Okkotsu, Uro Takako, and Ryu Ishigori activated their Domains, but Kurourushi’s cockroaches invaded and shattered the barrier.
  • Yuta kicked Uro toward Kurourushi, which wounded her and lost its arm to Rika before Ryu’s Granite Blast destroyed the curse and badly injured Uro.
  • Yuta and Ryu clashed their cursed energy discharges, and Ryu’s blast initially overpowered Yuta’s.
  • Yuta revealed he had copied Uro’s technique and struck Ryu twice with Uro’s Bullet, then fought him hand to hand as their cursed energy recovered.
  • Yuta seized Ryu and redirected the Granite Blast that had curved back from the sky, burning Ryu and leaving him near collapse.
  • Ryu thanked Yuta and fell, saying he was full.

Ch. 64"The Migrators" Part 10

Okkotsu collected enough points from Ryu Ishigori to help free Fushiguro's sister and added a rule allowing ordinary people trapped in barriers to leave. After learning that Dhruv had been killed and Sukuna was heading for Sendai Colony, Yuta prepared to summon Mahoraga against him.

  • Ryu Ishigori transferred his points to Okkotsu and warned her that sparing strong opponents was naive.
  • Okkotsu added General Rule Thirteen, allowing players and certain trapped ordinary people to enter and leave barriers, and Xuan approved the revision to General Rule Eleven.
  • Yuta found the badly wounded Ito Mamoru on a bridge and healed him with Reverse Cursed Technique.
  • Ito told Yuta that Dhruv had been killed while protecting civilians from an enemy who froze and cut him apart.
  • Itadori warned Okkotsu that Sukuna had taken control of his body and was heading for Sendai Colony, before the earpiece connection failed.
  • Yuta put on his ring, switched to Ten Shadows, and began summoning Mahoraga as Sukuna approached.

Ch. 65"The Migrators" Part 11

Megumi Fushiguro entered Higuruma’s domain and faced a trial accusing him of mass murder during the Shibuya Incident. Higuruma presented evidence linking Megumi’s summoned Mahoraga to the deaths, and Megumi collapsed as the court adjourned.

  • Megumi learned that players could transfer points and hurried into the grand theater, expecting to find Itadori.
  • Higuruma opened Deadly Sentencing and explained that he managed the colony and used his domain to determine whom he killed.
  • Judgeman accused Megumi of mass murder in Shibuya, and Megumi denied killing anyone.
  • Higuruma presented photographs of Mahoraga fighting Sukuna and a list of the deaths caused by them.
  • Higuruma proposed summoning Mahoraga for a second trial, and Megumi collapsed as the court adjourned.

Ch. 66"The Migrators" Part 12

Megumi Fushiguro awoke from Higuruma’s domain illusion and confessed that summoning Mahoraga would make it target him first. He began the ritual anyway, but when Higuruma expanded his domain to intervene, Mahoraga appeared as Megumi’s defense counsel.

  • Megumi woke in Higuruma’s domain after reliving a painful encounter with Itadori and apologized to him in the illusion.
  • Higuruma explained that his domain made opponents face someone they least wanted to encounter, and Megumi admitted he did not consider himself innocent.
  • A rule amendment allowed ordinary people and certain non-player residents to enter and leave the barriers freely.
  • Megumi told Higuruma that summoning Mahoraga would make him its first target, then said his companion was about to arrive and asked Higuruma to pass along an apology.
  • Megumi began the Mahoraga ritual, and Higuruma expanded Deadly Sentencing to intervene.
  • Mahoraga appeared beside Megumi at the defense stand and announced that it was his defense counsel.

Ch. 67"The Migrators" Part 13

Mahoraga’s adaptation transformed Higuruma’s domain into a courtroom, where Higuruma prosecuted Megumi for the Shibuya Massacre and Kusakabe testified about what happened. Mahoraga challenged Kusakabe’s account and claimed to have evidence implicating Haruta Shigemo.

  • Mahoraga adapted Higuruma’s domain, turning Judgeman into a judge and Mahoraga into Megumi’s defense attorney.
  • Higuruma accepted the altered courtroom and charged Megumi with the murders committed in Shibuya on October 31, 2018.
  • Judgeman summoned Atsuya Kusakabe’s soul as a witness, and Kusakabe described the events surrounding the Shibuya Massacre.
  • Kusakabe said an unidentified person destroyed part of Shibuya, though he suspected the person was Sukuna.
  • Mahoraga objected and proposed that Haruta Shigemo was the unidentified person, first presenting an attorney’s badge before claiming to have real evidence.

Ch. 68"The Migrators" Part 14

Mahoraga tried to clear Megumi Fushiguro of responsibility for the Shibuya Massacre by blaming Haruta Shigemo, but Higuruma challenged its testimony and called Yuji Itadori as a witness. Yuji's answer was cut off as Mahoraga altered its story again.

  • Mahoraga presented a recording and claimed Haruta Shigemo had defeated it before fighting Sukuna, leading Megumi Fushiguro to believe Shigemo was extraordinarily powerful.
  • Higuruma played the rest of the recording, which showed Shigemo stabbing Mahoraga to death, and Mahoraga claimed the footage proved Megumi's innocence.
  • Higuruma objected that Mahoraga had given false testimony and proposed questioning Ryomen Sukuna through his vessel, Yuji Itadori.
  • Judgeman summoned Yuji Itadori into the courtroom and ordered him to answer Higuruma's yes-or-no question about whether Sukuna had fought Haruta Shigemo.
  • As Yuji began to answer, Mahoraga revised its testimony, and its adaptation wheel spun twice in anger.

Ch. 69"The Migrators" Part 15

Inside Higuruma’s domain, Mahoraga defended Megumi Fushiguro against the charge of causing the Shibuya massacre. He persuaded Judgeman that Megumi had been unconscious during the massacre and that Mahoraga had acted independently, ending the trial with a not-guilty verdict.

  • Higuruma used evidence from the Ten Shadows Technique to establish that each person’s shikigami was unique, then brought Fushiguro into the courtroom as the defendant.
  • Yuji told Fushiguro that someone had taken Sukuna’s fingers and headed for Sendai, and Higuruma questioned Yuji about Haruta Shigemo’s death and Sukuna’s absence from Yuji’s body.
  • Mahoraga argued that Fushiguro had been unconscious before the massacre and that Mahoraga had fought independently after being released through the exorcism ritual.
  • Judgeman declared Fushiguro not guilty, the domain shattered, and Mahoraga told Higuruma he had lost.

Ch. 70"The Migrators" Complete

Yuta Okkotsu summoned Mahoraga to face Sukuna in Sendai, but Sukuna repeatedly destroyed it and eventually killed it with his Domain. Yuta and Ito Mamoru lured Sukuna into summoning Zenin Xuan, who returned to the battlefield and confronted him.

  • Yuta Okkotsu summoned Mahoraga at the cost of permanently losing the Ten Shadows technique, and Sukuna blasted it away after it attacked Ito Mamoru.
  • Sukuna fought Mahoraga with slashes and Ice Formation, while Uraume demanded that Yuta bring Zenin Xuan to him.
  • Mahoraga adapted to Sukuna's attacks, but Sukuna repeatedly destroyed it and killed it with his Domain as Yuta and Ito watched.
  • Yuta asked Ito to recreate his appearance, then used the image to bring Gen back to the battlefield.
  • Gen struck Sukuna and taunted him, then asked whose body Sukuna had taken over; when Uraume shouted his name, Gen pretended not to know Sukuna.

Ch. 71Second Battle! Sukuna!

Zenin Xuan and Sukuna fought again in Sendai Colony, clashing Domains and trading attacks as Gen relied on Mahoraga’s adaptation to endure Sukuna’s techniques. Gen recognized Sukuna was preparing another way to break his Domain, and the chapter ended as Sukuna began a technique called Eight Cold Crystal Prison.

  • Gen sent Okkotsu and Ito into the shadows, then confronted Sukuna and Uraume.
  • Gen struck Sukuna across Sendai Colony, but Sukuna countered with four-armed attacks and sent Gen crashing through buildings.
  • Gen and Sukuna expanded their Domains, and their barriers fused, canceling their sure-hit techniques.
  • Gen and Sukuna exchanged close-range attacks, with Gen regenerating severed limbs and using Rabbit Escape against Sukuna.
  • Gen sensed that Sukuna had another way to break his Domain and saw Sukuna’s lower hands form an unfamiliar sign.
  • Gen dodged Sukuna’s enhanced slashes and severed both of his arms, but Sukuna’s cheek-mouth opened and began Eight Cold Crystal Prison.

Ch. 72So That's How It Is

Gen used Chimera and the collapse of two overlapping Domains to injure Sukuna and Uraume, then trapped Sukuna in a shadow sea with a second Domain Expansion. Sukuna escaped the sea and realized how Gen’s Domain timing worked before opening Malevolent Shrine.

  • Gen used a shadow-traveling charge to make his Domain overlap with Uraume’s, causing both Domains to collapse together.
  • Uraume surfaced in Sukuna’s body and froze Gen’s waist, but Gen’s Chimera tore off two of Sukuna’s arms and forced Uraume back.
  • Gen healed himself, summoned several Chimeras, and struck Uraume before Sukuna regained control and countered the attack.
  • Gen opened his Domain again and dragged Sukuna into a shadow sea, where Sukuna swallowed Eightfold Water and lost cursed energy.
  • Sukuna’s technique burnout ended, and he slashed Gen before realizing Gen’s Domain could reopen sooner than his own.
  • Sukuna opened Malevolent Shrine as Gen hovered above the shadow sea.

Ch. 73Sukuna's Escalating Machine

Gen forced Sukuna’s closed-barrier domain to collapse, then fought him as Sukuna and Uraume combined their techniques to reshape Malevolent Shrine. Gen revealed that his attacks could cut Sukuna while healing through Sukuna’s counterattack, and he began phase two with the Sword of Extermination as Mahoraga neared adaptation to Sukuna’s techniques.

  • Gen recognized Sukuna’s plan to trap him in a closed-barrier domain, but used Piercing Ox to destroy Malevolent Shrine from within.
  • Sukuna had Uraume take control of his body and protect him with Ice Formation while he completed another Domain Expansion.
  • Gen kicked Uraume repeatedly through his domain, preventing Uraume from fighting back as Sukuna restored Malevolent Shrine.
  • Gen taunted Sukuna and struck him with an invisible slash that wounded him, while Sukuna’s slashes proved ineffective against Gen.
  • Sukuna used Ice Formation to freeze Gen’s chest, but Gen healed and shattered the ice as Mahoraga’s wheel adapted to Malevolent Shrine.
  • Gen announced phase two and raised the Sword of Extermination, which erased Sukuna’s incoming slashes.

Ch. 74Furnace: Open

Zenin Xuan and Mahoraga overwhelmed Sukuna, repeatedly shattering his domain and driving him beneath Sendai Colony. Sukuna unleashed a 300% Furnace across the colony, engulfing himself and Gen in flames, and believed he had won.

  • Gen and Mahoraga broke Sukuna's domain repeatedly, while Uraume helped him continue fighting.
  • Mahoraga revealed that she had adapted to Mahito's soul-related technique and attacked Sukuna with the Sword of Extermination.
  • Gen taunted Sukuna, and Mahoraga drove him deep beneath Sendai Colony.
  • Sukuna expanded Malevolent Shrine across the colony, but Mahoraga regenerated, struck him, and shattered the domain.
  • Sukuna activated Furnace at 300% output, using his life, cursed technique, and cursed energy to ignite all of Sendai Colony and engulf Gen and himself.

Ch. 75Relying on the North

After the Flame of Ten Thousand Deaths, Sukuna revisited memories of Uraume and accepted their final farewell, then revived in his original body on the battlefield. Zenin Xuan stood over Sukuna’s corpse, only to face Sukuna’s sudden attack.

  • Sukuna relived an ancient battlefield and admitted to Kenjaku that Zenin Xuan had beaten him without even revealing his full strength.
  • Uraume explained that they had preserved Sukuna’s body and left behind their cursed technique, then asked him to destroy everything before departing.
  • Sukuna watched Uraume disappear and called after them as they parted ways.
  • Zenin Xuan approached Sukuna’s charred, frozen corpse and mocked him, believing the fight was over.
  • Sukuna revived in his original body and attacked Zenin Xuan with an ice-coated slash.
