Kesh was born into the Black Eagle Lineage of the Nicholas Family, originating from Black Eagle Ridge in Bolun'er. Though only twenty-fourth in the succession order, he was born from a marriage alliance between the Black Eagle branch and Nicholas's main line. The Black Eagle Lineage retained close ties to the main family; its Secret Guards served as the main line's covert enforcers and occasionally accepted private work. 127 137

Before his conversion, Kesh was a fifth-tier Blood Race and captain of the Black Eagle Secret Guards. He cultivated the fifth-tier path [Blood-Tainted Vessel], embedding its strange root in his blood and using its Silver attribute to create his shotgun, Silver Fury, and its specialized ammunition. 134

His initial expedition to the Flesh Mine was driven by the belief that its abnormalities indicated a treasure; he blockaded surrounding information routes so that neither the Nicholas main family nor other races could claim it first. 127

He is also adaptable under pressure. After Feng Buzhi turned him into a Witch Clan subspecies and blood descendant, Kesh considered fleeing but returned when his bloodline punished the thought as betrayal. He chose instead to build an intelligence network and make himself useful to the Human Sect in the hope of living longer. 156

Over time, Kesh becomes calmer and more resourceful. He recognizes manipulation by the mysterious organization around White Dwarf Town, maintains his composure against stronger wolf-type enemies, and works with Huang Er to investigate the Heart of Hundred Beasts. 157 159

Flesh Mine expedition and defeat

Kesh leads several hundred Blood Race and Lizardman mercenaries toward the Flesh Mine, then reduces his force to twelve Black Eagle Secret Guards after visiting Gray Crow Town. He intends to monopolize a suspected treasure and suppress all news of the mine's abnormalities. 127

At Kunlun Mountain, he defeats Dorodoro with his forehead eye but is confronted by the Human Race and Lizardman force prepared by Zhou Yuan. He initially judges the army as a disorganized mob and plans to break it by removing its leader. 127 128

Capture and bloodline conversion

Feng Buzhi captures Kesh and asks to be made his blood descendant. Kesh accepts in confidence, only for Feng Buzhi to resist his bloodline control and restrain him again with the Eye of the Human Sect. 129 130
