Background / History

Huang Er was a Human trial-taker who arrived at the Flesh Mine through [Promotion] approximately three years before Feng Buzhi's arrival. His mutated organ was his stomach, and Old Zhou considered his talent exceptionally powerful despite his poor [Promotion] evaluation. 92

While imprisoned in the Flesh Mine, Huang Er gained the trust of lizardman squad leader Black Rock and secretly prepared an escape. He rallied Human slaves, displayed the corpses of lizardman guards to ignite their resolve, used Black Rock's ring to clear the corrosive-slime passage, and led the uprising toward the surface. 106

The escape was stopped by a Blood Race manager wielding a black crystal that forced the Humans to kneel. Huang Er resisted longer than anyone else; rather than submit, he cut off both of his own legs with a stolen blade. 107 His legs later healed after the Flesh Mine transformed into Kunlun City's mountain environment. 109

After Feng Buzhi reactivated the Town Crystal and offered selected individuals as vessels for Human heroic spirits, Huang Er refused to yield under the Eye of the Human Sect's pressure and demanded to know Feng Buzhi's intentions. 117 118 He ultimately became the vessel of Jordan, gaining a companion Soul Vessel in the form of a basketball. 120

Appearance

Huang Er was initially a fat man with a noticeably round stomach, which he could inflate into a ball during combat. 106 167 Within a month of joining the Human Sect, he grew taller and thinner and began to carry himself with a leader-like air. 158

Huang Er's anger at Human suffering is a major source of his resolve. The conditions inside Holly Blood Factory left him furious at the Blood Race, at the defeated Human ancestors, at passive captive Humans, and at his own inability to save everyone. 167

Heroic Spirit Reincarnation

Following Kunlun City's creation, Huang Er confronted Feng Buzhi and refused to be cowed by the Eye of the Human Sect. He later became Jordan's vessel, awakening a basketball Soul Vessel and joining the Human Sect. 117 120

Defense of Kunlun City

Huang Er infiltrated Holly Port to investigate a possible Human inheritance, discovering the Blood Race's industrialized exploitation of Humans.
