The Arrival of the Tragedy Tower

A year later, Ye Bai sensed two unfamiliar presences on Bun Mountain and led everyone there. He had not wanted to go in the first place, but Goku had been sent to King Kai's place by Ye Bai using Instant Transmission and had yet to return.

Ye Bai used Instant Transmission to bring everyone to where the presences had landed. Vegeta and Nappa had just climbed out of the crater when Ye Bai grabbed them both without a word and hurled them toward the outskirts. Then he teleported everyone over just in time to see Vegeta and Nappa streak past them and crash into a distant mountain.

Boom

Half the mountain collapsed, burying the two of them.

"Uh, it's not a big problem. They should only be a little hurt. It'll be enough for you guys to get some practice and familiarize yourselves with your strength." Ye Bai looked toward the two buried in the distance, making it clear that this was absolutely not his mistake.

Just as Ye Bai finished speaking, Vegeta and Nappa finally burst out of the rubble. The disheveled Vegeta immediately spotted the group in the sky.

"Damn it, who was it? Which one of you ambushed this prince?" Vegeta pointed at them.

Hearing that, Ye Bai decisively pointed at Piccolo. "It was him." After saying that, he moved far away.

Vegeta looked at Piccolo. "So you're a Namekian. No wonder you were able to defeat Raditz. As far as I know, Namekians are not only powerful fighters, but also possess incredible abilities."

"I also heard that the mysterious abilities of Namekians are like those of magicians. You must be the one who created the seven Dragon Balls, right?"

"Hand over the Dragon Balls obediently, and this prince will overlook your offense and spare your life."

"Thank you for letting me know that Ye Bai wasn't lying to me. Unfortunately, I'm not the one who created the Dragon Balls. I only specialize in fighting." Piccolo glanced at Ye Bai, who was putting on an act.

"You're not capable of killing me." Piccolo spoke disdainfully.

"Damn it, you dare look down on this prince? Since you're not the one who created the Dragon Balls, then die!" Vegeta gathered an energy sphere in one hand and fired it at Piccolo. A golden energy blast shot toward him.

Piccolo casually knocked the energy blast away and instantly appeared behind Vegeta.

Vegeta had only just reacted and turned around, blurting out, "Nani?" before Piccolo kicked him flying. Piccolo appeared above Vegeta again, clasped his hands together, and smashed him down to the ground.

Boom~

Vegeta slammed a huge crater into the ground. Piccolo gathered an energy sphere in his hand, preparing to finish Vegeta off, but Ye Bai appeared beside him, grabbed his hand, shook his head, and said, "He's still a little too weak. Leave him for Yamcha and the others to practice on."

"Tien Shinhan, Yamcha, discuss it yourselves and decide who'll fight. Take care of the other Saiyan too. Just remember not to kill the one down there," Ye Bai said to the others in the distance.

After a round of discussion, they decided to settle it with rock-paper-scissors. In the end, Tien Shinhan fought Vegeta while Yamcha fought Nappa. Krillin and Chiaotzu lost and had no opponents, so they could only watch.

"Damn it, you dare look down on this prince!" Vegeta, who had rushed out of the rubble, saw this and charged at Ye Bai.

Before his fist could even reach Ye Bai, Ye Bai slapped him away toward Tien Shinhan.

"Are you stupid? They were playing rock-paper-scissors, so why are you attacking me? I wasn't even involved."

"Goku's here. You guys play on your own. My strength has improved too much lately—I'm really afraid I'll accidentally slap them to death if I make another move. Once you've beaten them up enough, let them go." Ye Bai suddenly sensed Goku's approaching presence and vanished with Instant Transmission.

As Ye Bai disappeared, Goku arrived at the scene as well. Below, Tien Shinhan and Vegeta were fighting fiercely, though Tien Shinhan held the upper hand. Nappa, on the other hand, was much more miserable, serving as Yamcha's punching bag in a completely one-sided beating.

Before long, Yamcha beat Nappa to within an inch of his life, dragged him back, and asked Goku and the others, "What should we do with this guy? His mouth is too foul, so I hit him a little too hard."

Piccolo looked at Nappa and told Yamcha to leave him alone. Ye Bai had said to let the two go once things were about done. Who knew what bad idea he had this time?

Meanwhile, Vegeta had been beaten into a fury. He gathered an artificial moon in his hand and transformed into a Great Ape in the blink of an eye. Because it was an artificial moon, his energy did not increase tenfold, only reaching 120,000.

Watching this, Goku seemed to realize something. He froze, his mind filled with Ye Bai's words that he was a Saiyan and the sight of Vegeta transforming into a Great Ape. Then he suddenly remembered how Grandpa Gohan had forbidden him from looking at the moon and made him go to bed early. He murmured, "So that's how it was. I finally know that I was the one who trampled Grandpa Gohan to death..."

"I was the one who destroyed the castle. I was the monster that appeared at the martial arts tournament. It was all me!"

Back on Bun Mountain, Ye Bai sensed Vegeta's energy after transforming into a Great Ape. He sighed, looked up at the sky, and softly muttered to himself, "You were bound to find out sooner or later, Goku."

While Goku was lost in thought, Piccolo had already joined the battle with the others to hold back Great Ape Vegeta. Fortunately, Piccolo's battle power had reached 80,000, allowing them to barely resist. As the battle moved near Nappa, Nappa looked at Great Ape Vegeta and shouted, "Vegeta, save me!"

"Trash." Vegeta saw Nappa and casually fired an energy blast at him before continuing his assault on the others.

"Goku! What are you doing?" Krillin, who was already struggling to hold on, could not help shouting at Goku, who was still staring blankly into the sky.

Goku finally snapped out of it and looked toward the battlefield. Seeing everyone struggling to resist, he no longer hesitated. He dove down and kicked Vegeta flying.

"Im-impossible! Kakarot, how can you be so strong?" Vegeta roared after crashing into a mountainside and coming to a stop.

"Nothing is impossible," Goku said to Vegeta as he floated in the air.

"I am the prince of the Saiyans, Vegeta! How could I possibly lose to a low-class warrior like you?" Vegeta charged at Goku and threw a punch.

Goku simply dodged to the side, grabbed the giant hand attacking him, and heaved backward, slamming Vegeta to the ground. Then he rose into the air and fired an energy blast from one hand, shattering the artificial moon in the sky.

Looking at Vegeta below as he returned to normal, Goku no longer had the desire to keep fighting. He said to Vegeta, "Go."

Vegeta lay on the ground and stared incredulously at Goku in the sky. "What did you say?"

Goku expressionlessly told Vegeta, "Go. Leave Earth."

Hearing this, Vegeta hurriedly gathered his remaining strength and flew into the distance, leaving behind a threat.

"Kakarot, you'll regret this. I'll become stronger and kill every last one of you."

A white burst of energy shot into the sky as Vegeta boarded his spaceship and left.
