Saving the Little Brother-in-Law

Elsewhere, Vegeta raced from Kami's Lookout toward Ye Bai and the others, flying in his Super Saiyan form. He was afraid that if he was even a little slower, he would miss the battle. He had only just come out; if the enemy was dealt with before he even got a look at him, that would be incredibly awkward—especially since he had bragged so boldly before going in.

"Still not throwing up? That last hit had enough force and covered enough area. Could it be because he has no support from within?"

Ye Bai stared at Cell, muttering to himself. Then, as though he had suddenly remembered something, his eyes lit up and he vanished. He appeared in front of Krillin, who was hurrying over, took two Senzu Beans from him, and disappeared again. Just as Krillin was about to say something, Ye Bai was gone. Krillin could only stare blankly at the remote control in his hand, unsure whether there was still any point in going over. After thinking about it, he decided to continue toward them. Maybe he could still be useful?

Ye Bai returned to Cell's side and fed him a Senzu Bean. Cell instantly recovered, and his aura surged several times over. Having regained his strength, Cell climbed to his feet and felt that his power had increased severalfold. After clenching his fists and sensing his own strength, he looked at Ye Bai warily.

Although he did not understand why the man before him had allowed him to recover from his injuries, he was certain that it could not be anything good. Seeing that Cell had fully recovered, Ye Bai finally curled his lips into a slight smile. He lowered into a horse stance, as if preparing some kind of ultimate move. Before long, Cell's face twisted in horror.

Afterimages began appearing behind Ye Bai. Then, two identical Ye Bais stood before Cell. Cell backed away two steps in terror, and after the two Ye Bais exchanged a glance, they vanished instantly.

One appeared in front of Cell and drove a knee into his abdomen. The other appeared behind him and braced against his back, preventing him from falling over. Cell's mouth hung wide open as drool continuously spilled out, while his chest heaved as though something were about to be forced out.

Seeing this, the Ye Bai in front kicked Cell in the abdomen again. The Ye Bai behind him held against Cell's back, preventing his body from being knocked backward. After suffering another heavy blow, Cell finally could not hold it in any longer and began vomiting. He desperately clutched his throat with both hands, unwilling to spit out whatever was inside him.

However, that could not stop the reverse-vomiting state. Something like a silkworm cocoon was expelled from Cell's gaping mouth. It landed on the ground and split open, revealing Android 17, covered in saliva and unknown slime. Seeing this, the Ye Bai behind Cell released him and walked toward the other Ye Bai. The two Ye Bais stood together, high-fived, and merged into one.

Cell remained bent over as his aura fell again and again, until only half his power remained. Even so, he was still a little more than twice as strong as Cell had been when he first entered his mature form.

Just then, Vegeta arrived. Before he could even make out what was happening, he heard Ye Bai shout.

"Vegeta, I'll leave this guy to you!"

With that, Ye Bai returned to his normal state. Resisting his disgust, he grabbed Android 17, who was covered in saliva and unidentified slime, and flew to the shore. He repeatedly dipped him into the seawater to wash him clean. Once he was cleaned up, Ye Bai brought him back to Android 18 and tossed Android 17 to her.

"You're Cell? You don't look like much." Vegeta spoke with an air of superiority as soon as he opened his mouth. After saying that, he descended from the sky and landed not far in front of Cell.

"Vegeta, what did you come all this way for? Don't tell me you came here to spout nonsense about defeating me?" Cell caught sight of Ye Bai in the distance and saw that he had no intention of attacking again, so he turned to Vegeta and asked.

Cell did not know what that man was trying to do, but at least for the moment, his life had been spared. What remained was finding an opportunity to absorb Android 17 and Android 18. If he reached his perfect form, perhaps he could defeat him.

"I'm not here to defeat you. I'm here to make sure you die without a corpse left behind—to blast you into pieces right where you stand." Vegeta said, a Nike-like smile curling across his lips.

"Kill me? You? I may not be able to beat that guy, but do you think I can't beat you? You overestimate yourself." After taking a brutal beating and gaining strength from it, Cell had been holding in a great deal of frustration. Vegeta's arrival was perfect timing.

"Just thinking that my cells were used to create an ugly monster like you is an utter humiliation. Why couldn't you at least have grown into something more presentable?"

Vegeta looked at Cell's hideous appearance and felt inexplicably uncomfortable, especially when he thought about how the other man possessed his cells as well.

Ye Bai had just arrived nearby while holding Android 18's hand when he heard that line, and he could not help mocking it internally. Watching Cell in the anime had not felt like much, but seeing him in reality was truly shocking in how ugly he was. That hideous face paired with that ugly carapace, along with the insect-like patterns all over his body—ugly's mother had opened the door for ugly. It was ugly all the way home.

Android 18 had seen Android 17 being vomited out from afar. Although Ye Bai had grabbed him and washed him off, when Ye Bai tossed him over just now, she still refused to catch him out of disgust and let him fall onto the grass. He was unconscious anyway, so he would not know anything.

"Your cells were used to create the most perfect being in the universe. You should feel honored." Cell did not care about his ugliness in the slightest. On the contrary, he cared more than anyone present about obtaining great power, including the Vegeta standing before him.

"You're wrong, Cell. The most perfect beings in the universe are us Saiyans. Have you forgotten how miserably you were beaten just now?" Vegeta's lips lifted, and his eyes carried a hint of mockery.

"Is that guy an idiot? He couldn't even beat me earlier, so how could he possibly beat Cell now? Why don't you go up there and get rid of that ugly thing?" Android 18 said as she turned her head, slightly raised her chin, and looked at Ye Bai.

"There's a place in this world called Kami's Lookout, where Kami lives. Inside the temple there is a room called the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Time passes differently inside; one year of training in there is only one day outside. Vegeta trained in there for a year. Although Cell's power has increased a little, Vegeta should be slightly stronger than him now." Since their relationship had progressed, Ye Bai patiently explained it to Android 18. As he spoke, he did not forget to place his hand on her shoulder. Android 18 noticed, but merely rolled her eyes at him and did not shake his hand off.

"I'll surpass that guy sooner or later, but unfortunately, you won't have the chance to live long enough to witness it yourself." Vegeta was not angered, because he knew that his current self was indeed not qualified to challenge Ye Bai.
