Background / History

The Bronze Shaman King ruled the Bronze Royal Court as a Great Shaman, centralizing authority rather than sharing it with chieftains and lesser Shamans. His rule treated the Royal Court’s Totem as both the foundation of power and an instrument of political control. 522 568

His Bronze Bloodline gave the Royal Court an advantage in physique and will, distinguishing it from the Silver Royal Court’s aptitude for Totem Spells and the Golden Royal Court’s diverse Bloodline Abilities. He was regarded as a terrifying close-combatant; together with the Gold Shaman King, he had previously killed the Silver Shaman King only by exhausting the latter’s spells and engaging him at close range. 507 552

During the war with the Golden Royal Court, he and the Gold Shaman King exchanged Totem Spells daily through layers of prophecy and divination. Their displayed clashes represented only a minute fraction of their true power, since a living Shaman King sustained both their Royal Court and Bloodline. 552

Faced with outside pressure from the Radiance Royal Court, he chose a decisive battle against Gold. Though evenly matched with the Gold Shaman King, he secured victory when the Snake Spirit Shaman King intervened on his side. He subsequently used half of the Gold Shaman King’s corpse to strengthen the Bronze Totem. 558 562 563

After his descendant Kui was captured by the Bronze Tree Tribe, the Bronze Shaman King attempted to retrieve him through intimidation, first sending the Azure Sky Dragon King and later personally confronting the tribe. He discovered that Wo had become a Great Shaman and attempted to erase the Bronze Tree Tribe to conceal his misjudgment. 573 587

Lu Xingshi ultimately forced him into a stalemate outside the Bronze Royal Court’s range. The Shaman King accepted Kui’s return, funded the Bronze Tree Tribe’s relocation, and withdrew rather than risk a further battle he could not win. 589 590

Later, the Radiance Shaman King attacked the Bronze Royal Court to use his death as a catalyst for advancing Blood Manifestation. The Bronze Shaman King merged the Bronze Totem into his chest and became a bronze giant, but was overwhelmed. Lu Xingshi intervened and took the Shaman King’s corpse. 604 605

The Bronze Shaman King normally possessed a massive body approximately twenty meters tall. Bronze-colored patterns covered him when he used his Bloodline Ability. 562 587

He was also pragmatic. He handled the Royal Court’s “treasure loss” scandal by compensating tribes and assigning scapegoats rather than carrying out the mass executions he initially considered. When Lu Xingshi proved too dangerous to pursue, he withdrew and postponed further investigation. 536 590

His concern for Kui was genuine but conditional. He sought to recover his descendant repeatedly, yet considered abandoning him if Kui’s recurring memory loss could not be cured. 569 590

Kui’s capture placed the Bronze Tree Tribe in conflict with the Bronze Royal Court. The Shaman King used the Azure Sky Dragon King as an unwilling agent, then personally arrived to reclaim Kui. 569 573 587

After discovering Wo’s Great Shaman nature, he attempted to annihilate the tribe to preserve his authority and conceal his error. Wo’s resistance and Lu Xingshi’s intervention forced him to negotiate instead. 587 589

Death of the Bronze Shaman King

The Radiance Shaman King selected him as a target because the Bronze Bloodline was central to the Radiance Shaman King’s own fused bloodline and could strengthen a Blood Manifestation breakthrough. 604

Despite drawing on the Bronze Totem and transforming into a bronze giant, the Bronze Shaman King was defeated. Lu Xingshi then seized his corpse, denying the Radiance Shaman King the intended advancement material. 604 605

Parallel-World Counterpart

A parallel-world version of the Bronze Shaman King joined Gold in an invasion of the Silver Royal Court. Wo interrupted their battle, easily injured the Bronze Shaman King, and later defeated and captured him alongside numerous other Shaman Kings. 658 659
