Background

Chi-Chi manages the Son household on Mount Paozu while supporting Son Goku, Son Gohan, and her father, Ox-King. Before the family obtains treasure, she bears the household’s financial burden alone, budgeting for Gohan’s tuition, food, and cram school while making strenuous grocery trips into the city twice a week. 4

Her work leaves her exhausted, callused, and visibly aged. Despite this, she remains determined that Gohan will become a great scholar and eventually give her an easier life. 4
