Seeing his bedraggled state witnessed by Starscream, Dirge's expression turned as ugly as it could get.

Worse still, he could not refute Starscream, which only made him more furious.

Ever since his two rebellions, after Megatron stripped him of his military post, it appeared that the tyrant had forgiven Starscream for shamelessly groveling and begging for mercy.

But any Decepticon with even a little sense knew that Megatron had never trusted Starscream again.

The only reason he had entrusted him with cultivating Replica Soldiers was to avoid wasting Starscream's abilities.

Moreover, Megatron and the other Decepticon Corps commanders had been doing everything they could to guard against the Replica Soldiers cultivated by Starscream.

On the battlefield, those Replica Soldiers were ruthlessly used as cannon fodder.

This strategy had been tacitly maintained by the Decepticon Corps commanders to this day.

That was one reason why Dirge and the others had dared not to fear Starscream before the mission, despite him still being one of the Four Giants. Besides, they had never gotten along in the first place.

"Shut up, Starscream!"

Dirge snarled at Starscream in embarrassed rage, struggling to climb out from the crash site.

He was not a mild-tempered Decepticon. After all, he could be considered one of the Decepticons' old guard.

Born into an aristocratic family during the era of Cybertron's Elder Council, Dirge had joined Cybertron's guerrilla army shortly after reaching adulthood, becoming an officer.

Later, when Megatron was supported by Prime Sentinel Prime in taking control of the military, Dirge pledged allegiance to Megatron in pursuit of greater power and voluntarily accepted conversion into a Decepticon.

It should be known that in the history of Cybertronian civilization, slavery had only finally been abolished when Prime Sentinel Prime and Megatron joined forces to overthrow the Elder Council.
