Andrew showed no mercy. He merely raised his right hand and clenched it sharply.
Splat—
On the bridge, before every pedestrian watching, an adult man was crushed alive into a ball of flesh, followed by an eruption of blood.
The spraying blood shot five meters into the air, fanning out in a circle and staining the surrounding ground red.
The violently shocking scene looked as unreal as an R-rated video game. Everyone froze at first, then belatedly realized the danger and began to panic.
"Oh God. Murder, there's been a murder!"
"My God, that's e-evil, the power of a demon!"
"Run! Get out of here!"
"Daddy, Daddy!"
"Maniac, call the police!!"
"."
Brooklyn Bridge instantly descended into chaos.
The crowd screamed, shoved, and pushed one another as they fled madly toward the side farthest from Andrew.
Passing vehicles were forced to stop on the road. Some could not brake in time, causing a chain of rear-end collisions.
"Hahahaha, so this is power. So this is freedom!"
Acting without restraint, the thrill of casting aside morality and ethics—it sent Andrew into a wild rush of exhilaration.
He had lived too repressed a life. Under the Killing Stone's temptation, his mind had been twisted to an extreme!
He wanted release. He wanted destruction.
He wanted absolute—freedom!
Boom!
In the middle of the bridge, Andrew stepped forward. The vehicles ahead rolled and crashed into the guardrails on both sides, clearing a path for him.
Like a wolf filled with murderous intent, driving away the shrieking flock of sheep on the bridge.
Laughing wildly, he smeared his bloodied fingers across his lips, leaving behind a vivid red stain. Like a madman from hell, he used telekinesis to drive away the crowd and sweep aside vehicle after vehicle.
"Hahahaha. Why should I run? They're the ones who should be running!"

What happened on Brooklyn Bridge—the sight of a superpowered individual acting with complete impunity—was uploaded to the internet at once.
It then rapidly spread across the entire world.
The military, S.H.I.E.L.D., Hydra.
Almost simultaneously, they obtained the latest information from the scene.
They all ordered their subordinates to rush toward Brooklyn Bridge at full speed.
Reporters from the New York Daily News piloted a helicopter at a speed that far surpassed athlete's foot, arriving at the battlefield first.
Hovering high in the air, they aimed their cameras at the fleeing crowd below.
"This is the New York Daily News. I'm your host, Ai—"
Impatiently extending his hand, Andrew's eyes grew increasingly red.
As the Killing Stone emitted a dazzling crimson glow, it was as though a giant hand had grabbed hold of the helicopter's tail.
Andrew yanked downward.
"Ahhhhh!!!"
Amid a distinctly feminine scream, the New York Daily News helicopter tilted and spiraled down from the sky into the sea.
Screech—
A car skidded in an arc across the bridge as Coulson and Clint Barton finally arrived at the scene.
They had already received Nick Fury's order: before the military arrived, they had to suppress the situation here.
As for Andrew, the culprit behind it all, Fury's answer had been brief—and cruel.
"Dead or alive."
The two wasted no words. One held a gun while the other raised his bow, and they ran forward.
Moving against the flow of screaming civilians fleeing in panic, they spent quite some time before finally reaching Andrew.
"Andrew, can you stop? We at S.H.I.E.L.D. mean you no harm!"
Fifteen meters away from him, Coulson raised both hands and stepped forward.
Behind a car to the rear right, Hawkeye Barton held his bow and quietly reminded him, his face full of exasperation.
"Coulson, what are you doing? Andrew's over there!"
Seeing that it was Coulson, Andrew visibly froze for a moment, remembering what he looked like.
But why was he facing the sea instead of speaking to him?
"Coulson."
"Yes, that's right.
Andrew, do you still remember me?"
Turning naturally, Coulson realized that something was clearly wrong with Andrew's current state—especially the red crystal on his forehead, which gleamed with an eerie light.
The madness on Andrew's face suddenly calmed, and he said flatly.
"Coulson, I remember you.
Not long ago, we met at the hospital.
But only in the end did I realize that people like you are completely unworthy of trust."
"Andrew, what happened? I think there may have been some misunderstanding between us."
Facing the sea on the other side, Coulson spread his palms. He truly did not know what had happened; in his view, there should not have been any problem with their previous conversation.
If there had been, then it must have happened after he left.
But the situation had been urgent. In order to pursue Andrew, he could only hurriedly issue Crossbones orders over the road, telling him to investigate.
The other man's report showed that after they left, Andrew's temperament had changed drastically, and he had suddenly killed the guards and escaped.
Coulson had his doubts about that.
But with no evidence now, he could only temporarily believe his colleague's account.
"Andrew, I don't know why you're doing this.
But please believe me, this won't do you any good at all!"
As he spoke, he cautiously tested his way forward. Hidden nearby, Barton narrowed his eyes and watched Andrew's movements at all times.
As long as the opportunity allowed, he would not let go of any chance to attack.
At the same time, though, he kept grumbling inwardly.
"Coulson, stop! Don't walk any farther—if you keep going, you'll fall into the ocean!"
"Haha. You're still spouting those hypocritical lies!
In the end, you're no different from Shadaloo!"
"Andrew, you've definitely misunderstood us.
We mean you no harm!"
For some reason, Coulson felt a railing blocking his way. As he spoke, he considered whether to climb over it.
"Shut up! I won't trust you again!"
He casually swung his right hand, and something like a wind blade carved a deep gash into the bridge deck several meters away.
Coulson was shocked and hurriedly stopped. Barton behind him seized the opportunity and fired an arrow, but it was blocked by Andrew's telekinetic shield.
The telekinetic shield was powerful, but it had still underestimated the power of high technology.
Barton's arrow was not ordinary. After two beeps, it exploded with a roar, violently blasting Andrew's body away.
The rising smoke obscured everything within, but a burst of wild laughter rang out from it.
"Heh heh heh—hahahahaha!"
"What's wrong? Did I hit a sore spot, so now you want to get rid of me?!"
Letting go of the last trace of kindness in his heart, Andrew's body slowly rose until he reached the top of the bridge.
"You people, every last one of you wants to capture me. Now—"
He had made his decision.
At any cost, he would activate the Killing Stone's power and use his amplified telekinesis to rip out every fixed suspension cable on the Brooklyn Bridge, causing the entire bridge to collapse.
"I'LL TURN THIS BRIDGE TO DUST!!"
Yesterday, someone pointed out that there were too many characters appearing, which caused reading difficulties and other issues. I saw the feedback.
Starting with today's latest chapter, I'll do my utmost to address this issue. I'll consider writing out some unnecessary characters.
This book currently has two parallel storylines. One is in Hell's Kitchen, where the five young Defenders are gathering to take down the boss, Fire Cloud Evil God (they're still one Iron Fist short, and that's currently underway). The other is the storyline before Tony's disappearance (which has now concluded).
