Ning Fengzhi led the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect during its efforts to identify and cultivate exceptional young Soul Masters. After hearing that Li Hanche possessed Innate Full Soul Power and a top-tier mutated spear-type Martial Soul, he traveled to Heaven Dou City to evaluate him personally. Impressed by Li Hanche's endurance and ambition to break the first Soul Ring age limit, Ning considered bringing him into the sect as an outer-surname disciple. 15 16

As his daughter Ning Rongrong approached her Martial Soul awakening, Ning treated the result as a matter central to the sect's future.
