Background / History

Peranos accepted Green as his third disciple after Green's interrogation following the newcomer trial. He introduced Green to the lineage's existing disciples: eldest disciple Youquan and second disciple Varo, and pledged to pass down the lineage's inherited witchcraft 50.

He personally trained Green in three principal disciplines: Repulsion-Attraction Dual-Force Witchcraft, Mixed-Poison Body Refining, and the Eye of Infinity. His instruction was often harsh, but he supplied rare materials, laboratory access, experimental specimens, and advice suited to Green's body-refining path 50 56 57 96 97.

As Black Isotta's dean, Peranos helped Green secure recognition for discovering foreign-world coordinates, resulting in the Tower Master awarding Green the Black Isotta Friendship Key. Though outwardly stern, he ordered Green to rest after exhausting himself in study and explained that the key could summon one of the Tower Master's powerful soul servants three times 70.

Peranos later traveled with Green across the Wizard Continent toward the Seven-Ring Holy Tower, teaching him about wizard civilization, the ancient civilization wars, the Human Will mountain range, and the Water-Curtain Firmament 134 135 136. During this journey, he also manipulated his junior brother into wagering a Seven-Flavor Fruit Tree against Peranos's twenty-seven Planer Fish in a contest between their disciples 138 139.

During the Academy War, Peranos served among the heads of Nine-Headed Wrath Wizard Academy, directing defenses and recruitment while confronting hostile wizards directly. He fought an old witch using Spatial Collapse Ring, but was endangered by the Thousand-Eyed Lantern's proliferating eyes 615 621 622.

In old age, Peranos gathered Youquan, Varo, and Green to entrust them with the lineage's future. He gave Green an ancient quill pen that enhances magic runes invoking elemental rules and asked him to build a wizard tower on the Wizard Continent to preserve the lineage's elemental-wizard will 781. His final wish later remained a decisive influence on Green 1503.

Appearance

Peranos had an aged, heavily scarred face whose features appeared crudely stitched together. His skin had split and been sewn back across his body as a consequence of his Repulsion-Attraction Dual-Force Witchcraft 50 71.

Personality

Peranos was blunt, demanding, and capable of savage cruelty in both speech and battle. He dismissed concern for outward appearance as attachment to an empty shell, and he taught Green that wizard civilization's conquests were driven by the need to plunder resources and survive against rival civilizations 59 71.

Despite this severity, he was deeply protective of his disciples. He arranged dangerous but productive training, worried about Green's health and safety, intervened when Green's actions could provoke Maze Disk Academy, and ultimately treated Green more as family than merely a disciple 57 70 102.

He was also shrewdly competitive. His performance before his junior brother—feigned generosity, calculated provocation, and carefully structured wagers—showed a fondness for exploiting overconfidence to secure an advantage 138.

Mixed-Poison Body Refining

Peranos inherited and practiced a body-refining discipline based on lymph, a parasitic poison that forms a symbiotic protective membrane around a wizard's cells 56 57.
