Background / History

Star Demons emerged on Earth alongside descending starlight during an unexplained upheaval in the starry sky. Federation research later concluded that they originated as lifeforms from other worlds that encountered opportunities to absorb Star Power, cultivate, and evolve. Their transformations predated humanity’s own Star Power cultivation, leaving them with more powerful individuals overall. 282

“Star Demon” is a broad human label for nonhuman extraterrestrial lifeforms. The species instead calls itself the Star Race, a people that lives among the stars. Their presence extends across worlds; expeditions found many life-bearing planets already occupied by them. 280 282

Most weaker Star Demons are simply enlarged, maddened creatures that lose their reason after being struck by power. Those retaining intelligence become “special Star Demons,” able to command lesser hordes and learn isolated techniques or martial-arts fragments. Higher-ranking Star Demons have encountered greater opportunities and acquired more knowledge through cultivation. 42 44 282

Star Demons have no single physical form. Their bodies vary drastically in size, anatomy, and elemental traits; some become humanoid at higher levels. 21 44 453
