Background / History

Jiang Changkong begins as a self-driven martial artist willing to injure himself in order to exploit a clinic's healing ability and improve his Iron Cloth Shirt. Zhou Wen intervenes and offers a safer training method, while Ji Ziling initially treats Jiang with suspicion before allowing the arrangement. His early training establishes his willingness to endure pain for power, as well as his ability to adapt when a better method appears. 2

He discovers that killing Star Demons and extracting Essence, Qi, and Spirit lets him improve himself at extraordinary speed. By perfecting several compatible martial arts at once, he breaks into the Nebula realm and develops a combat style with offense, defense, movement, and close-quarters fighting all covered. 27 58

At Jiangcheng Martial Arts School, he protects Zhou Wen, confronts criminal martial artists, and repeatedly investigates schemes involving Lu Wuhai, He Long, and their allies.
