Background

The Immortal Palace was formed by recruiting frustrated geniuses and using the influence of major powers to conceal its activities. Its true members could have their wishes fulfilled, while less-important recruits were made to take deadly risks for the organization. The people Jiang Changkong initially killed were only expendable outer personnel rather than genuine members. 233

Its stated long-term objective was to explore the realm of immortals and gods. Based on ruins and Star Script records, the organization believed the Three Great Star Bodies could reach that realm, but lacked the later cultivation methods needed to confirm the path. 334

The Battle Palace, Lunar Immortal Palace, and Solar Immortal Palace became its principal targets. These palaces could move through space on their own, making them difficult to secure; the Battle Palace departed after Jiang Changkong's first entry, while repeated Immortal Palace attempts to breach the Lunar Palace had failed. 334

Operations

Recruitment and expendable personnel

• The organization recruited people in the Sin Domain after sending Star Embryo martial artists through a spatial passage. 259
• Recruits were treated as cannon fodder for investigating the Blood Qi Palace; the Immortal Palace intended to replace their instruments and use the collected data to assess the interior. 259
• It embedded peripheral members in Jiang Changkong's territory to monitor his movements, investigate his research institute, and report on his body-tempering progress. 317
• It recruited at least one early Stellar-realm Star Demon and exploited Star Demon-controlled ruins, mineral veins, and medicinal resources. 288

Human research

The Research Palace studied humans at every stage and abducted ordinary people from Earth for experiments in the Void Realm. Multiple research bases existed there, including one connected to the Jiang Family. 287

An Immortal Palace stronghold held research on the Solar Star Array, White Cloud Star Array, the Three Great Star Bodies, and the strongest battle physiques. 375

Strongholds and defenses

Immortal Palace strongholds were widespread and protected by surveillance devices, star arrays, barriers, and stationed martial artists. One forest stronghold was defended well enough that even a Star Path cultivator might have struggled to leave unharmed without its control token. 375

• A green token could suppress a stronghold's defenses, part its barrier, and cause its star arrays to avoid the bearer. 375
• The organization later deployed Star Dao martial artists to guard its strongholds, including cultivators at peak early Star Dao and mid Star Dao. 385
• Its personnel possessed powerful resources, including processed Star Stones and a tenth-rank Golden Crow treasure. 287 367

Pursuit of the Three Palaces

The organization sought the three palaces associated with the Three Great Star Bodies:

• Battle Palace / Force Pattern Battle Palace — Connected to the collection of corpses belonging to those who left their names within it. A Star Script inscription states that gathering the Divine Pearls of the three palaces and drawing upon the Three Lights can yield an Immortal Scripture Fragment. 262
• Lunar Immortal Palace — Had been breached several times by the Immortal Palace without success. Its guardian permitted Jiang Changkong to take only one item after recognizing his lunar, solar, and Force Pattern Battle Bodies. 319 334
• Solar Immortal Palace — Identified alongside the Battle and Lunar Palaces as one of the organization’s key targets. 334

The Blood Qi Palace was a nine-level, blood-red palace filled with star arrays, killing intent, Star Script, and carved humanoid figures bearing Force Patterns. Jiang Changkong considered whether it had always been in the Sin Domain or had been brought there by the Immortal Palace. 261 262

Conflict with Jiang Changkong

Jiang Changkong repeatedly disrupted Immortal Palace plans, beginning with the Sin Domain passage and its efforts surrounding the Blood Qi Palace. 257 259

He later infiltrated an Immortal Palace stronghold using a stolen control token, searched the inhabitants’ souls, and killed everyone within. He then seized its resources, Star Crystal-processing equipment, and research records. 375

The organization retaliated by increasing protection for its strongholds and dispatching Star Dao martial artists to search for Jiang Changkong and his allies. 385

Over the following month, Jiang Changkong and the Nether Dragon eliminated the remaining Immortal Palace strongholds in the depths of the starry sky. The Research Palace was subsequently destroyed, while Liangqiu Xuanyi departed to gather the remaining forces and attempt to take control of the organization. 405

• Jiang Changkong — Principal enemy; destroyed strongholds, acquired their research, and later wiped out their deep-space bases and the Research Palace. 375 405
